[Performance] Frame lag with Nvidia 460 / Quad Core

GTX 460
Q6600 @ 3.2ghz
4GB RAM

I get above 150fps constant, but it feels like 40? It’s just below playable. I haven’t tried console settings yet, but if there are some fixes for this let me know.

I remember there were various cvars in ETQW that would effect performance, can’t remember them exactly but was like threadedrender 2 etc. Sounds similar to g_syncronouseclients 1 on Q3 engine, movement and input laggy even at high fps… don’t have the game yet to test, but you may find some cvars to test in the ETQW section bizarrely.

I’m sure RR2 will chip in and tell me to stop being stupid, but I had to use com_unlock_timingmethod 0 in ETQW… of course may not exist in Brink. The other one was try setting r_usethreadedrenderer 0

We don’t officially support use of the developer console; use at your own risk.

Also be careful about using cvars that did X in ET:QW, they may now do Y in Brink.

It would be interesting to know if you are still having the same issues with the recommended Nvidia drivers.
