So I’ve run to tons of people who have VAC bans on their account, this doesn’t necessarily mean they are willing to cheat on Dirty Bomb, but at least I feel disgusted to play with people who are caught cheating in fps games.
The risk for them to turn on cheats again is just way too high.
How do you guys feel about people who are VAC banned?
I also know there’s people with VAC who doesn’t currently cheat, but you never know.
Meh, people caught cheating with 100% proof in any steam game should get their account and all games suspended for lifetime, hung from their balls up on Washington Monument with a small stand where you could buy tomatoes to throw at them but that’s just me.
Lets remember that VAC is a system, and a system makes mistakes.
What VAC does is scan your files for unknown files and if it finds some you are being banned (just a vague description). If you have a file that is unknown to VAC but is not a hack you can get banned and steam support can’t delete it.
Also I saw people with 2000+ days since they got banned and it is about 5+ years which is a pretty big time to change and grow and understand you done wrong.
So basically I don’t give a fuck.

It would be a shame to call the Valve Anti-Cheat optimal, and i know some people get VACs even though they didn’t cheat, so by your logic we should just say ‘‘fuck you’’ to those people? They could have a library of 600 games, and just because some Anti Cheat fucks up, they should have it all thrown out of the window?

There have been people unbanned already AND that is exactly why i said 100% proof.

Ah… Ok, gotcha.
That makes it a little better i guess, but i still think the current system is fine.

T4G had the best 3rd part anti cheat system i have ever seen
video proof ONLY or ggc verified pbss can get you banned
also they where baning for stats crazy ones like 60% hsr and if you get banned for 60% hsr you so pro no problem make a video 50 kills hs only no editing if you can do that you get unbanned
simple clean 100% accurate because whole team of people analyzes video in all kinds ways and reach a decision NO SOFTWARE CAN DO THAT
It wouldn’t make a difference, DB is free. It takes 5 minutes to create a new Steam account VAC free.
Of course they can make a new one, but the point was how people feel about people who HAVE VAC ban.

Believe or not, not really important, but personally got VAC-banned for trying to fix CS:GO crashing all the time in loading screen with a .dll file.
A VAC doesn’t mean the guy is cheating.
But obvious cheating with multiple VACs and a low-level account is probably cheating.

I understand your frustration since you have VAC ban too.

I also know you can get rid of false VAC bans if you can prove it was for wrong reasons.

Can the Vac ban get removed ? I though I saw something about saying that valve wont remove any vac ban from any account
BTW, I have a VAC ban in my account, 304 days since that, It happend cus i used an achievement manager with tf2, to get all the hats and all that stuff when i was f2p. Whatever
I’m sinistyx on steam and i hacked in a game 1792 days ago, doesn’t look good for me as i usually have a high KDR (i’m level 25), when my KDR is stupidly good i have people spectate me and i’ve never had any accusations. Personally the temptation for me to cheat again is absolute zero, we all have our moments of weakness. Also when you are experienced in the game i think it is very easy to tell if someone is cheating. /hides
Of course those who are innocent but banned due to running some kind of software that NGS accidently recognizes as “hacks”, they need to be unbanned. To address the real hackers, they should have their whole accounts associated with any game all banned and wiped.
Feeling disgusted by playing with VAC-banned people? A complete exaggeration based prejudice. On top of that, you do a 180 degree spin in your rant before you ask of us to scream in an echo chamber.
As for VAC-banned people, I don’t really care. It’s hard for a player to determine cheaters. I’ll let the anti-cheat programs process potential cheaters while I have a friendly conversation with an obvious cheater in-game.
People that only have free to play games on their library and only have had their account for one day while going Ham in a game pisses me off. Clearly a cheat or a no life smurf. Also pro csgo players have avoided vac bans because they put the ‘hack’ on the steam workshop so it’s incredibly difficult to pick up.
