People abusing shuffle teams

(HunterAssassin5) #21
I never understood the point to shuffle. I’ve been stomped many, many, many times, or been in matches with @$!# teams and had to bust my ass carrying. I never voted for a shuffle because cry baby wants to be handed a win on a silver platter. Besides, it’s more rewarding to win when you’re the underdog in the end. And honestly, if it’s so bad I don’t want to play, then I just leave and quick-join another match.

These darn kids these days don’t know what it’s like to have to work hard for your victory!

all these old people been banging their heads on those brick walls too much, they think they actually won some of those stomps!

@Icecoal a good reason to shuffle at the beginning of the map is if the lobby wasnt full when it appropriated the players. basically you chose the system to balance the game rather than go by pure random of ‘this person joined first so they go to team ‘A’’

I guess this belongs here.

The same guy, top of of the other team, was shuffling every other minute. The game wasn’t even unbalanced, but they stopped making progress with the EV for a little while in the first half, and then the shuffling started. And it didn’t end before the game ended. Perfect example of the shuffle abusing.

(This happens every 2 or 3 games)

Originally I was thinking about making the shuffle only available within the first 5 minutes of the game or something (Round 1 only on Stopwatch), but as I’m hearing that shuffling will be removed anyways, I’m just gonna wait for that.

i put my medic on the second and my main at the third.
so nobody will trick me into pressing f1.

Those Cuck suckas better stop sucking cucks.

I totally agree with you (The OP, don’t care enough to read everything on here). Many MANY times, I’ve been winning a game, some crybaby decided they don’t like the way the game is going, the vote carries, I get switched to the other team, AND NOTHING CHANGES. NOTHING. THE TEAM IS STILL GETTING STOMPED. I had a win in the bag, but some moron tries to change the outcome, I get caught in the middle, and lose a game.

I still get salty over this one Chapel match I had where someone called shuffle in the last few seconds and it passed at 1 second left. The salt with the players were incredibly high that round.

I’ve been busy but I have been keeping tabs on the post. I’m just glad to see there will be changes made in the future.

(surrealchemist) #29

I can’t wait till the changes. Its like luck of the draw if you get a good game. You join a stopwatch match with 3 v 4 or something. Then the match starts and you can’t make any progress and your side gets pushed back. Then the rest of the people join and you finally get to make up for lost time and somebody calls a vote. It totally screws it over the second half because you started the game without enough players to do anything constructive.
According to this stream round-up, shuffling will be removed.

Casual Match-Making Info:
Casual match-making will be coming to Dirty Bomb in the future. This will remove “Quick Join” and the server browser for the majority of servers.
[] The basic comparison is like that of MOBA game queues, such as LoL or DOTA.
[
] Shuffling will be removed.
[] Matches will be balanced from the start, and leavers will be punished - these will be more relaxed than competitive penalties.
[
] You will be able to queue with up to 5 friends.
[] The current planned server size is 6v6.
[
] Match-making will likely eliminate 8v8. This may still be available through the traditional server browser if anything.
If drop-in, drop-out style joining returns it will likely be for some form of TDM game mode. This however is NOT coming in the near future and not even being discussed/worked on - it’s simply an example.
Along with this, game flow will receive updates including the match intro will be toggleable, although during this period you will only be able to stand still and see your team - not move.

I don’t know, but I have a feeling that this matchmaking will fail so insanely hard that it could destroy the game. I can’t imagine how they wanna “balance games from the beginning”.

 1. Implement autobalance throughout the match
 2. Disallow swapping teams manually
 3. Abolish vote shuffling

This should have been done a long time ago. People are abusing the poor matchmaking for ages now.

to me that sounds like

1: instantly quit cause I can’t play with my buddies
2: now irrelevant
3: now irrelevant
