so I have a more than capable laptop to play this game on it. (m17 alienware fully decked out) I have never played an FPS on my laptop. I would like to know the pros and cons of playing this type of game on a PC. please help me out with my decision!
PC vs Consol
better graphycs, mouse and keyboard and dedicated servers are the first things that comes to mind.
It’s is more precise and sensitive but i’m not used to using it so i cannot play fps on a pc. I think it takes a while to get used to.
get ET:QW demo, play with controller, then play with mouse, then tell us
btw, it’s console

Careful Nail. He didn’t care for being corrected last time…
i wasnt trying to threaten anyone i was just trying to state would you back up the words that head shots dont always kill someone if you were in the situation where it could happen
and my bad on the misspelled words lol its just a thread and im tired soooo mistakes happen
I backed it twice little man, and yes that was a threat, just not one anyone took serious. I’ve seen people survive headshots, I gave you a perfect example with Gabrielle Giffords, it just happened 2 months ago, made big news.
oh, btw, did you know I was 60 and served in combat ?
lol ummm ok cool did you know im 19 and a graphic design major specializing in muliplayer gameplay at Grand View University
I guessed the 19 part, the rest well, I didn’t know Grand View offered any gaming courses as electives
lol you cant find everything out on google bud its actually kind of sad that you would google my school and check out classes lol but anyways i guess its dif in canada idk but my major is graphic design so i take graphic design classes however that is a broad field there are different things you do in those classes such as UI artist work with publisher, flash, 3D design… how bout you worry about your own stuff rather than trying to google into everyone elses life and prove them wrong

question asked, question answered
try pay attention, it’ll help at school, especially in Art History
btw, I google all that stuff, usually shows me how full of crap people are
/out
You can play with a keyboard and mouse on a console as well. Just check out Xim3
And I expected him to be one of those 12 year old coolladitty kids.
Suk,
It takes time to get good with a mouse, I recommend you practice on Quake Live or Counter Strike.
Fewer people use headsets on the PC. In my entire time in BC2 pub matches I’ve come across only one guy who had it.
Seeing the m17’s low specs, I doubt you’ll be able to play the game at high graphical settings.
These kind of threads usually get off tehe road quick enough…
If you want to go competitive and play on a more serious level I would suggest PC anyday, if you rather sit on your sweet sofa with friends and enjoy a booze or two (tho you have to be 21 in US right? ;)) I would suggest console. Playing on a laptop is IMO not a good thing, but my only laptop is a 10’ eee-PC so I’m super biased here indeed
Peace
Just don’t expect to be instantly good as soon as you plug in a mouse/kb and start playing, like anything it takes time to learn and master. But in the end, you’ll reap the benefits of precision you get from a mouse, then wonder why you ever thought a controller was better.
Well with the name of the thread what do you expect
A joystick is actually ideal for WASD movement, never cared enough to switch though.
