Yeah I like it. Still not a big fan of the healthbars on enemies. ETQW seemed to handle them more subtly and I find their matter of necessity questionable at best. I’m sure actual combat personal would love to get such an accurate real-time health diagnosis on their enemies, ha forget the military, I’m sure anyone would love to to have such future tech at home.
Then again, it makes sense for consoles where the fights have less fidelity and these kind of presentations make the combat more fun.
Very slick, was worried they’d keep that D-pad looking thing on the left. Ability Pips are kinda small
Looks good, but a bit worried about the light colors, it might be hard to see against white textures or alot of HDR/Bloom. Maybe we can change the color and amount of transparency in the options?
tbh I have always found SD to be topnotch in the HUD department in all their games. I can’t wait to see the server browser. I still consider ETQW’s browser the best IN-GAME server browser OF ALL TIME.
Yea, it looks very clean & good!
@dommafia: Yes, I also can’t wait to see the server browser. And I think it will be as good as in ETQW. The same guy made it
Because the server browsers in the “newest” games are just annoying.
Definitely a fan of etqw’s hud, and its server browser… the menus were perfect, exactly what you would expect.
Oh thank you Splash Damage! I was seriously beginning to think that we were going to have to have the same HUD as consoles. I just know I’m going to have my abilities bound to 1, 2, and 3. Now I just want to see a picture of the mission wheel, which I really hope isn’t a wheel on PC.
I actually kind of like the D-Pad style abilities HUD more. =/ I have no idea why though. Maybe the roundness of it.
