High player numbers don’t mean a game’s balanced. TF2 is as casual as they come - the majority of players don’t know what balance is or they just don’t care. The average player maybe happy but it makes a bad competitive game.

If you’re bad at Brink, you’re punished, but I wouldn’t have it any other way

Not really, even noobs get kills quite often. Even if you are pro it’s pretty hard to not die a lot in this game.

In other games like UT2k4 I could go 100/0 in pub games by running the map and stacking while owning everyone’s faces with mad skill. In this game it’s pretty much rush into the fray and hope for a few kills before you die. You can’t run into a 2 on 1 and expect to live because you can headshot both players with leet aim.

But this is what we get with console games.

TF2 is casual. So what? That doesn’t mean it’s balanced. And some people play it competitively. Brink is far from competitive.

Your logic is flawed. TF2 is casual. But brink is pro. But you can’t kill 2 people by yourself because the focus is on teamplay?

Brink is competitive, it just needs a good patching.

I’ve nothing against TF2 but it’s not a very fun comp game imo. symmetrical maps ftl.
