Windowed Mode:

Please can we have maximum windowed mode resolution of the same size as our monitor’s native resolution, please? Would be useful for casting the game. Currently, it’s one stop below.

Fireteams:

Can we please have other fireteam members displayed as purple dots on the map. Also, it’s extremely unwieldy / annoying to have to press Escape after confirming a fireteam vote. Unneccessary. Just revert back to game as opposed to menu when you’ve voted.

Body type:

I realise that it would be a major balance issue if people were able to dynamically change body types either on spawning or at a supply / health point. However, I think the lack of ability to do so at all without quitting a server and coming back is a bit of a pain and limits the potential of the game. Perhaps one could do so from the in-game menu, with a 60-90 second period during which you can only observe and not play. It’d really encourage players to make use of all the different characters and the weapon arsenals and abilities at their disposal. Also, it may give a better idea of game balance and allow people to give more feedback if they play a range of body types all the time.

I think I understand why they blocked body type but it really does get in the way. I think you should be able to pick once at the start of the map and that’s it.

Just experimented something based on the(or, “for the”) “windowed mode” request. Whether in fullscreen or windowed, you can customize your resolution by using “r_customwidth” and “r_customheight”. Then type “r_mode -1” and “vid_restart”. Hope this helps

Perhaps they should allow body type switch at Base CP only and with a 30 sec cooldown.

I think 30 seconds will be too little.

But it’s really a shame that people don’t or can’t switch around more. It’d also offer the opportunity for teams to break deadlocks when the defending one is favoured due to their body types (or vice versa).

Personally, though I feel they’re both more powerful in the current meta game, I favour the medium body type over heavy and light.

Switching bodytypes doesn’t enable important ploys that turn the battle, it only makes whatever is there a bit easier. That’s it, and that’s why it’s lame. You made the choice before you started now use your that near-vacuum between your ears to play the cards you’ve been dealt.

  • 1 to switching body types, but i’d honestly like to be able to switch weapons, attachments, etc. too at any point. it works well with tf2 and bfbc2. i’ve never seen any opposing arguments.

Ye Batlefield Bad company 2 ability to swap class / weapons /attachements while you wait to respaw is a lot better then the current system we have.
And it should be possible also to change the body type, and caracter, that would be a incentive to have more then 3 caracters, 10 is pointless if you need to exit servers and select it.

Personally I think command posts are just a distraction from the main objective, and its unfair how they give more Health to the team that have more comand posts controled wich is often the better team.
The idea of a lot of side missions sounds good in theory, in pratice not really.

But BFBC2 has more players per map so a few AFK’s are less damaging than in Brink. Or allow to make it during the end sceen between games = there you could change body types and weapon custo.
If changing body type ingame, I like the op suggestion, but if you’re to wait 30sec-1 min before entering again, ou might as well be able to customize weaponry in the meantime too.

Any of the two solutions would fit. Also maybe change characters between maps without disconnecting.

I hate that when I take my op/engy char, we lack medics/soldiers and nobody wants to go and I am reluctant to switch because I have no abilities with them.

Nothing should make me hesitate to switch, as on smaller teams like in brink, balancing a team is even more important… there is a paradox here, maybe kepp the levelling for weapon custo but give new abilities to all classes when levelling.
