This game is in dire need of US servers. I live on the west coast. I can find around 5 active servers with pings below 100. It’s near to impossible to join them since they’re full most of the time. Every other server is being hosted over seas with pings way above 200. That’s unplayable for me. Bethesda and SD needs to invest some of their own money and put up some of their own servers for us north American players.
(PC) Barely any US servers
No, they don’t. It would be nice, yes, do they have to? no. One thing that bugs me about the launch (apart from the game’s flaws, of course) is how everyone complains about EVERYTHING
Lots of cry babies
I feel your pain. What a waste of money. I can’t believe how fast this game died. I 'm stuck playing on French servers +200 ping

It’s a concern, not a complaint. Why do you knuckleheads feel the need to lash out at anybody that says something even remotely critical of the game? You do realize that the game is losing players left and right?
I wasn’t aware that they didn’t release the linux server files yet. No wonder that the server population is dwindling. What the hell is wrong with this developer? Are they intentionally trying to sabotage their own game?
Have you seen how much hate is on these forums, there is actually a thread where someone wants to know if the people at SD feel bad enough about the game they’ve made.
Just pathetic.
Back on topic, i have 360 version and i have no problems finding full matches. Maybe if you have 360 consider buying a 360 copy? The games prices are going down from what I have seen. My buddy was able to pick up Brink from Sams for 49.99 (i think) with the spec ops pack.
I would say you got some filters set or something cause I live in Alaska and there are a butt load of servers on the west coast. Granted only a handfull ever have people playing on them, but they are there.

This is a thread concerning the PC version of the game.
I do not play shooters on consoles nor do i have any desire to re-purchase the game.
Stick to the topic, please.
They key word is “active servers”. 5 out 16 is hardly something that i would consider as an active server.
I might as well play with bots then.
That may be the case but it’s SD’s responsibility to request that OK if they even slightly care about the future of this game.
I understand what the OP is saying.
I now have 100 hrs of Brink time on PC. It wasnt until 70hrs that I started to enjoy this game lol.
It has problems which need addressing but that is a different subject.
Basically when I see the server list its like this (early afternoon Eastern Time NA):
There is approximately 800 servers online (which means nothing).
There are LOTS of empty servers with low ping.
There are maybe 2-3 full servers (16/16). Very difficult to get into to.
More specifically its Bonk server, EG server, and maybe one more.
At this time Europe servers are flourishing.
In the late afternoon / evening a few more servers might start getting populated and/or full.
Some show up from the west coast.
The European servers numbers drop but they are still there.
The reason is this games numbers are drastically dropping (if you dont agree you are in self denial).
Im Canadian but it seems the Europeans are more likely sticking to this game in larger numbers than US + Canada. I mean I see more German / French servers at peak time that are full than NA.

xbox version is just as bad, worse even because u dont have a server browser
What difference would it make if SD hosted servers also? Then there would be, as you put it, 5/20 west coast servers with people on them.
Do you also expect SD to spend all there time on servers to make sure they are populated to?
Dance floor syndrome:
- People don’t like empty servers, so it takes a while to get the ball rolling with these.
- People want play on the server with the most players. So the more players on the servers, the more likely it will get full in a matter of seconds.
Suggestion:
If you and a group of friends is gonna start playing, don’t fear the empty servers. Just find one that looks like it has a good ping and nice settings. Get the ball rolling and people will join after. Some servers are just sitting there waiting for the day that a group of people actually notice they are good servers.
Popular locations were once empty.
Two questions TwwIX :
Which location are you from in US ?
What time do you play ?
I am not intending to flame the post in any way. I am located in Ohio and I do find decent games every day in the PC version of the game. i do see folks from most of the BRINK communities in Steam and I follow one of them and join the server with slots open ( which mostly is Greased , Singh400 , or any from the bullet hell community in steam)
