Hopyfully.
Was the same when BC2 was released.100% CPU usage and like 30% GPU usage. And everybody was wondering why this game was running like **** at release.

From the news:
“…and we’re planning to release it early next week.”
“Early next week” is not necessarily “Monday”.
A classic case of reading what you want to read rather than what is actually said!
I don’t see mention of the character corruption bug, one of the most frustrating and common bugs coming up in the forum. Hopefully this… goes without saying?
PS: Good news nonetheless!
to me, early = monday/tuesday, wednesday = middle and thursday friday are late on. Therefore how come everybody is saying monday. If I was SD, I would release it tuesday, after the weekend do some final testing then on the tuesday release it

That dude is pretty slow on updating,or he’s very busy makin us our patch,or he has just nothing to say atm. ^^
When a game developer says “early next week” this instantly sounds for me like “monday morning/afternoon/evening” too.
Cuz we need this patch so badly even though it’s just 1 day difference if it really comes tomorrow. But it’s another day where we can’t enjoy brink (talkin about the people which got FPS problems and so on). sniff
As it turns out… patch may actually be out today!
Dedicated server update coming in a few hours, client update “not far behind”

FINALLY.Can’t wait for it to arrive.Hopefully stupid performance problems are gone then. fingerscrossed
btw uhm,not that i wouldn’t trust you but if you say things like this, always give a source. ^.^
So,SOURCE OR GTFO! xD
This probably won’t happen.
Your CPU is what’s limiting your max FPS ingame. Get a better CPU until your GPU becomes the bottleneck ? Or just caps the FPS with Vsync. (yes this game is gay and doesn’t let you cap your max FPS to the number you want it too).

You seriously have no clue. The cpu bottleneck is a result of bad drivers and only present for 11.5a drivers for many people.
Then if it’s an AMD driver bug, why is he asking for a patch for the game?

A fast Dualcore will not be the bottleneck for a game like brink. even bfbc2 runs smoother than brink on my dualcore and bc2 is considered as a very cpu demanding game. In brink i see no feature that would justify a higher cpu demand than you got in bfbc2 (small maps, fewer players, no physic engine etc.) Im running an e8400 @3ghz and a HD 5870 and the cpu doesnt slow games down at all. cpu demand is often overrated imho. (Same thing with PSUs. What a HD 4850? Need at LEAST 1000W PSU
)
Looking forward to the patch to finally play brink…
