Party system is seriously needed

I and a couple friends discovered Dirty Bomb recently and really enjoy it, but what keeps us from playing consistently is the fact that we cannot play together reliably, and its a pain to get together.

I understand that having a party system in matchmaking can lead to issues like pub stomping, and I agree there needs to be something against it, but c’mon, a game like Dirty Bomb needs a party system. I’m surprised its not in yet, from the beginning.

Yes.

I believe they said they will work on something of the sort but limit it to around 3-person parties as to avoid any “pub stomps” which I think is very fair.

Play competitive and get h4xored

They have teased on the dev streams that something like a party system, or a limited one (maybe 2-3 people max?), would be coming at some point.

I’m sure this will end up becoming a common talking point now that with the new lobby system you can’t change teams while in the lobby (but you still can on server) if a certain GM wasn’t fibbing to me.

From how I read the patch notes it looks like you can only not change teams for Objective matches, whereas Stopwatch is unaffected just like Private Matches. But yes, public parties may become more prevalent of a feature due to this which makes me excited since one thing I hate is how getting into a game with a friend works, would be nice to simplify it so we can just pop in and have fun immediately without the musical chairs aspect of switching teams and angering everyone else.
