Party System for non-competitive

(cocoaFigure) #21

Not everyone wants to pub stomp. Me and my friends arent even that good. Average at best, we just want to play together. Competitive is the only choice really which isnt the most attractive choice.
Edit: Theres only 3 of us, not exactly enough to pubstomp

If the game supported 32vs32 or even 16v16 what you want would be fine. But with the small teams on this game it doesn’t make sense for you to form a party of friends and pub stomp without the chance for sorting by balance. Sure, if we could have servers that the community runs, why not. But under the current system the best you can do is just have friends join on you. And it’s not a big deal to play against friends as you’re just pubbing. If you want to guarantee to play with them do 5v5 ranked.

i actually responded to this point made by someone else just before you posted if you look at the post above yours.
but a 3 man co ordinated team is easily more than enough to trash a game. even if just average skills because of all the advantages that come with being a pre made, so why isnt competitive an attractive choice? to fair having to play other teams?

Sorry, buts it’s not the three people playing together, doing the stomp, it’s the complete ignorance of most new players to the specialities of teamplay.
No using voice (well ok, with these ten year-old sqeekers it’s probably better), no helping each other out, no ammo/medpacks dropping, trying to defuse instead of reviving the engi, and more you can easily spot evryday.

I am often playing together with one or two friends for fun, and you still can get hard fights and easily lose maps, if the enemy team want’s to.
On the other side, yes you can trash games/stomp teams with beginners or incompetent people, running around like chicken.
So is it bad if a team plays together vs another one in a teamplay-based-shooter?

And our reasons why not playing competetive, just a few points.

  • People coming home from work and not wanting to try hard
  • Having less than five people for playing
  • Doing your xp-missions, so not wanting to play sw (bug, you know)
  • People simply not wanting to play competetive in your group, still wanting to play together since you played together for nearly 20 years
  • And the obvious cheater-problem, not only in this game, but beeing really helpless here

Btw. Even without stacking you are always having a team on the losing side, not wanting to fight back after a while, even if they had a chance. Guess that’s the new kind of players nowadays. EZ or losing, nothing in-between. Plx don’t struggle.
But in times an expression like trying-hard is a negative one… whatever.

Fine its not your fault its the noobs, it really doesnt matter to me , you agreed the disparity exists whose “fault” it is hardly matters the fact the disparity is there affecting the game is all that matters.

Are you part of the guys that all have ROCKS in your name play on the EU servers? i think we played a few games together , Padds is my in game name, seem to recall an underground game we spent walking onto each others mines ;).

and no there is nothing wrong with teams playing teams , and if what was being asked for was a second way for that to happen in a non competitive version i would even support it, but no ones asking for a team vs team non comp mode, people are asking for teams to be let loose on the solo que, which is pure pubstomping easy mode self epeen stroking bs , sorry.

and sure you still loose, but it doesnt change you having the better odds, even a 90% win rate looses 10% of the time does loosing 1 in 10 make it fair? hell no!

as to your reasons for not using the existing already in game way to play with your friends in a team vs team game, it seems to me like you are simply asking to have just the benifits of playing as a team without having to have any of the consequences of playing against teams. so me and the other solo que’s get to carry your water because thats fairer? sorry thats bullshit.

ask for a team vs team non comp mode ill support it all the way. but letting people pub stomp because they wont nut up and deal with the consequences and costs of their own actions, F that. pay your own damn bill.
