That would just bring brand new skillful game mechanics to a game that really could use improved movement mechanics. Wall jumping is clearly not enough and underexploited. We could go crasier with the map design and the movement thing without destroying how the game feels !
you also have to think about how people are going to react to this ingame, i see heaps of people disliking that we are jumping off walls allready, running on walls i don think this should have, just because its made by the same company as brink, doesnt mean this has to be brink
The current movement system definitely feels under utilized in the maps, which is a shame really. And if I remember correctly, BRINK had the same problem.
I remember when I first heard about this game a few years ago, I was hoping for the BRINK movement system. But now I’m not too sure anymore. I’m not a fan of my character putting down his weapon to climb shit, then I’m more of a fan of crouch jumping with a knife out, takes more effort.
And then there was the Titanfall experience, which had the worst fucking movement system I’ve come across in any game I’ve ever played. Holy shit what a fucking nightmare that was. And then everyone praised them for the “great” movement system. I was speechless! At least BRINKs movement felt good.

Yeah, it has to be well though and shouldn’t make the player unable to make some actions in the process. That would be a big flaw.
I think the present jumping system aids quick movement to key areas of the map to enough of an extent in some areas, though perhaps it can be said to be lacking in others. I’m sure as maps are further developed, the present system will come to be better integrated.
wall and long jumping were added after most of the current maps left block out, they may not be the best indicators of the movement system

Legde grabs! I would at least like to see ledge-grabbing and pulling yourself up to be included.
to avoid breaking maps I would only like mantling for one jump only; meaning you can’t do walljumps and mantle in one fly-by
Yes plz! Slide would be good. Anything to add more fluidity to the movement. S.M.A.R.T. may be owned by Bethesda. That just opens the doors to a new fluid movement system.
But that would make wall jumping useless. Instead of having to wall jump and crouch to get up somewhere you’d simply jump and mantle.
Vaulting also serves no purpose when you can just simply crouch jump over stuff and be able to shoot at all times.
Many walljumping trickjumps require two walljumps to get high enough, often combined with crouching mid-jump
What if Ledge Grabbing became a passive perk for loudout cards? I’ve not used some of the more spry and faster classes but it does seem annoying that the heavier character classes cant just lift themselves over a surface after jumping off a wall.
