I advocate 2-3 shots myself. One must remember this is a team game and the PF is not an anti-personell weapon (although splash damaging a room…) it is an anti-armor weapon.

Actually the unguided rocket did have nasty spiral to them after 150 meters (164 yards). They are not designed for any long range sniping and so “skill” reducing that would be useless.

I would actually advocate speeding them up. They are short-range anti-armor weapons that go through 200mm of armor.

A couple of side notes:

  1. if you get heavy weapons 4 you can choose a thompson/mp40 as your secondary weapon, work for it! Nothing more satisfying than have some idiot medic running up when you start spraying him with bullets!

  2. I do not hear people saying that the mortar is useless (entirely). Mortars can actually be quite fun! Thump! Splat! It simply requires different tactics. Same here, they’re support weapons. Your team should cover you while you take out the tank/mg nest.

  3. We wouldn’t have this problem if people didn’t associate RL’s with guns. We can thank id for this, RL’s are not guns, unless they are gyrojets, and then we can really talk about accuracy.

However the reason for it is not the kinetic energy of the projectile but the hollow charge(also called shaped charge or HEAT) warhead that creates a very high pressure thin beam of matter which is what is capable of such penetration.
