Totally agree there, but we are talking bout overtime, so once its destructed the map is over, I dont find it that hard to destroy it, I agree tho that during the general pace of the map, its way too easy to reconstruct compared to the time it takes to destroy, but in overtime its a different story.

About the EV destruction and overtime, this was what triggered this thread in the first place. Was playing with Toomic and MrEd on LondonBridge, where the EV was stopped in front of the 3rd barricade (which was built, for once). Map time went out but overtime kicked in, and we spent quite some time finishing off the EV.

That felt a bit wrong for all of us I think. I feel that overtime is fair for giving attackers time to finish of a successful attack, but it shouldn’'t last for minutes, and that will be a problem with the current “tank” EV.

So for EV, I think overtime should stop when the EV stops - not when it’s destructed. In the rare cases attackers actually manages to keep it moving constantly from the 3rd barricade to the end - well then they have really deserved it.

With the current destruction system, we will see EV overtime kick in a lot on both maps, which can be a bit confusing for all, and annoying for defenders (when they already deserved a major victory).

Some of the mods In WET (etpub) has a setting called sudden death, which means if you make a plant on the last obj, then the game will continue also after time runs out, game will continue til obj is blown or plant has been disarmed.

I like that tbh

i dont think it should work just for escorting, then we will see it almost always, imo should only happen on the rare occasions when c4 is planted to late for normal maptime. and only plant on the final obj should be taken into this, has to a plant that can change who is winning the map.

so vote 1 for me
