Overall Update Review + Questions!

Caution : I can’t play the actualy game since I’m stuck in this prison military base, so what I’m typing is based on KR DB community’s overall opinion/info.(Heard from 200+ members total.) Can be inaccurate. Please tell me what’s wrong/or what I don’t know.

1.) Hunter. Hunter, at your service

  • 40~80 dmg bodyshot. acceptable.** But Instagibbing under 120HP mercs + Max 160dmg so able to 1 shot poor watermelon? hmmmmmmm.**

ok, understandable, since Thunder always had low HP compared to his HP unless he gets his 170HP back. (Of course with conc mechanism rework.)

But bit too powerful, considering how fast he shoots his bow.

May be make it travel faster, but lower the RPM.

  • Does crossbow have infinite bullets?? I mean, then you can make anyone a hedgehog if you just spam it at straight passage.

Really gotta limit his bullets.

  • Ignores Guardian’s Sky Shield. + Very Silent.

??? WHAT. Can somebody explain this to me.

  • Can’t kill someone who’s mounting on EV MG.

  • Projectile is too thick. There is thickness difference between zoomed bow/hip bow.

Idk about this part. Please tell meeeeeeeeh

2.) Phantom. Invisible Genji who can’t throw his shurikens but able to stab poor 90HP mercs with weeaboo sword

After watching the new merc-role call video all I can think about was 2015 July, back when Phantom totally ruined the whole game just within 2 weeks before SD turned him to trash.



-110HP -> 120HP.

WHY???

TANKY assassin = balance breaking. Not just DB, This equation was proved by numerous, thousands of games whether it is MOBA, FPS, RPG, etc.

All he needed back then, was 420 or 430 movement speed.

I'm not saying he is totally broken right now, because I've noticed he isn't 100% invisible unlike SD told us,

But still. Flanking seems too easy.




- Can't be spotted while invisible/Has no delay before attack.

Don't know if Red Eye still counters him(If he does, roll back his goggle cooldown please..)

SD needs to pick one and discard the other, either he can be spotted, but has no delay or he can't be spotted, but has a delay (decloaking animation that leaves him vulnerable long enough for him to be noticeable).

Pretty much this, to be honest. Can't agree more.



Don't want to disagree phantom fans since they suffered a lot, as much as Thunder fans like me, + agree with @watsyurdeal 's Stealthy merc should be unseen logic too.

Also respect others who were obsessed with knife kills. Truly understandable, considering how interesting, how attractive Phantie himself is.

But let's just think about fundamental root of this game for a moment. DB's whole concept is shooty shooty FPS game where everyone competes with their aiming skill.



Single bullet to decloak + waste EMP pulse in the air would be fine, if someone notice him and land a shot.



Update itself is absolutely fantastic, but I'm quite sure even without playing the actual game : this will turn the whole game in to medieval warfare where everyone shoots crossbow and running around with Jap sword. Hunter shooting crossbow is fine, but Phantie's Katana should be his 'Secondary/Sub' weapon. Roaming around with sword like a lone samurai while everybody is shooting gun. meh.

Definitely not a good idea. 

But praise to SD about successfully inserting Phantom's original concept in to actual gameplay. Hope some tweaks for him quick.

    80dmg body shot is not acceptable. If we ask for a neef of snipers, it’s not for a new Merc to get over it. Better rpm and better damage and infinite ammo, does not feel balanced when the only limitation is travel time and drop (which is not that hard to correct when you played battlefield a lot)

??? WHAT. Can somebody explain this to me.
Hunter’s bolts doesn’t ignore guardian shield unlike someone told you.
Worst is that he can’t disable skyshield with his emp because of the too small radius of it.

  • Projectile is too thick. There is thickness difference between zoomed bow/hip bow.
    It’s so annoying when you see your projectile stop just before the head of someone because of this, where snipers can shoot you but you can’t shoot him. Tiny space between blocks are his weakness.

Feels like trapped in here would be actually better than playing the game with Thunder right now. Odd…

Besides the arrow hitbox, feels like infinite ammo/over dmg should be fixed.

Instead, what about buffing MPs again? (Along with old ones to save Sparks.)

Hunter seems too weak when he goes CQC, worse than Aimee may be.

So far, so good except the fact SD rolled back his HP without considering how OP the conc is at few vs few battle,

My Duty ends at 2019.04.09 when I reach Sergeant.

Started at 2017.07.10, so I’m currently Private first class.

Can’t play games in here, but at least I can type my opinions, reviews here :slight_smile:

miss the time when I had so much fun at high level Asia pub games.

@THUNDAAA Also Hunter’s Arrow from the Crossbow has a travel time so medium-close range he can handle it like hitscan, but at longer ranges you have to lead your target to land a shot. Phantom currently has a few weird oddities to his cloak with regards to seeing it as well; you will often have trouble spotting it without having your settings cranked up making him literally invisible in his current state on very low video settings (or close enough to it to be extremely infuriating).

As someone who run the game at minimal settings, he can be very hard to see. Invisibility is just too hard to manage in game that you can’t just modify the invisibility to balance it.
