over-lit models

Every now and again I run into some models that are lit brighter then they should be… For example, check out the kegs in the screen below:

I figure it has something to do with the model shader… (if there is such a thing). How can I correct this error?

i can’t help you but that looks fucking awsome. If you can’t find a fix then you could fudge it instead by having lots of lights around the barrels so that there brightness does not seem so odd.

Do you have q3map_forceMeta and q3map_nonPlanar on your model’s shaders? Those two things seem to be the key to get lightmapped models (well, besides map $lightmap, that is).
