Over Emphasis on Volume of Shots

As I have been playing I have seemed to notice this game favors numbers of bullets fired over anything else to a sizable degree. What i mean is that in most cases I have come across the person that wins in a fight is usually the one the fired the most bullets, which is fine for close quarters but I see this happening a ranges I feel it probably shouldn’t be. For example when I use Arty’s Dreiss AR at mid to long ranges I lose to every automatic gun (and the occasional shotgun) I encounter and on the other side when I play Fragger with the K-121 I am surprised at the accuracy I can maintain at a distance while moving. Now obviously this just my experience, and I’m not saying you can’t do well with with slower firing weapons. What I’m getting at is that the increased difficulty of use of those weapons doesn’t provide enough of an advantage over automatic ones.

Yeah burst weapons suck!!! They always holdding back.

Not sure what burst weapon is oubt besides the BR-13, and it being turned to a burst weapon was a nerf for it, the Kira’s default, the AUG and Arty’s Default rifle being semi auto makes them rather underwhelming, the only thing I’ve heard was that Arty’s default rifle brings enemies down via headshots like no other weapon that isn’t a sniper rifle, but many guns do this but have other upsides to them.

Burst weapons are quite good if you can nail headshots, it’s pretty much instakill.

Your hypothesis seems valid, especially for new players & casual gamers or players that are used to play other kind of online shooters. I noticed that such an opinion can be seen much more since much more unskilled players came in.

For two aimless (20-25% accuracy approx.) players, considering central limit theorem, bullet hit may be mostly random with hits spaced almost equally in time. Considering two same characters and weapons, the one who starts shooting first has a higher probability to land finishing blow first.

It works the same for skilled players in every game. If you see your enemy first, you have the advantage. As for better players, killing takes significantly less time (much better accuracy, 35%+ & much better headshot/bodyshot ratio). They also take advantage of shooting first, but in this case one perceives killing an enemy as a result of one’s ability to spot enemy first, to stand in an advantageous position etc.

In every game, the one who shoots first has higher probability to win the battle if other factors (like aim) are considered to be the same. This is a sign of properly balanced game. The true fun begins when your aim gets better and you’re able to outshoot a newbie who started shooting first. Or even multiple newbies.

@faithfulAim but what about that far damn sniper who has a better scope than anyone else, and can shoot farther and easier? He can easily get headshots with no problem since he can just camp at one spot and just wait for the bodies to come… that is not a great sign of properly balanced game… however there are tons of other times where I get my butt kicked hard so idk…
