OS Requirement for Server

Hello,

I am trying to setup a BRINK dedicated server on a Windows machine running Server 2003.

Every time I try to launch the server from steam I receive “This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time.”

From the .bat directly I receive “The system cannot execute the specified program.”

Can I not use Windows Server 03? Does it have to be a Desktop OS?

No problems on my Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 box
(Server files are 32-bit FYI)

Your problem is common, and should been explained by the devs imo. They package their files with the 2008 Virtual c ++ package.

And yes install the x86 on a x64 server because the brink serverfiles runs in 32-bit :smiley:

Edit: and if they somehow uses files from other packages as well just install them somethimes they are good to have arround (2005, 2008, 2010)
