Opt Out of Competitive Missions?

(BunchaChunks) #1

Friends and I have had 2 competitive matches where there have been hackers. We don’t want to be forced to play games where we’re stuck in with hackers. Is there any way to remove the competitive missions or choose not to receive the missions? Especially since there is no easy way to report a hacker within the game. You have to jump through too many hoops to report someone, it just takes too much time.

As someone that was a part of this I agree as well. It seems there are far more hackers in competitive than anything else. It really stinks that we have to play competitive to be able to finish some missions and having to drop them because we don’t want to deal with the hackers makes us lose out on credits. I really look forward to every reset and being able to do the missions to get a blast of credits again but every time I see the competitive one I am just like, “oh great now we have to go do this again.”

A different question. Are you forced to do those missions?

ive had to play 3 of these game mode now for quests , only had 1 ruined by hacker(s)

my bigger problem is this mode is dead in the EU , 7.30pm and im queing for 15 minutes for a game!

No you are not forced to do those missions but when you are really trying to earn credits and like to do every mission every time it is up it can be disappointing when you get one that you either can’t do or you do it and have a chance for it to be a spawn camp fest by hackers and you can’t leave without a penalty so you are stuck there for roughly 20 minutes.

Agreed. I just think there should be an option to remove competitive mode from your mission list. It penalizes legitimate players more than benefit.

I just don’t want to be held in a game with a hacker and be at risk for being penalized for leaving. I feel like competitive matches, at the moment, are a waste of time.

I would be more than happy to play competitive but there’s just too much of a downside to it.

I completely agree with your point, but I would rather have missions that are more beneficial and enjoyable.

The only problem I see, is that you value 500-1000 credits more than your 20 minutes of aggravated time. I cancel competitive missions every single time and I still make a decent amount of credits.

Make sure to time your playing with the mission refresh. Start playing an hour or so before missions end, finish the two or three you can let them refresh and finish them too. Get daily bonuses on top of that and you are getting 4500 credits minimum for 2 hours of play time a day.

Not in a week or two knowing SD.

I agree with you, I would prefer to have an option to opt out of competitive missions instead of dropping them.

Opt out of objective missions as well please. Equal rights for everybody!

(Vexed) #12

I agree.

Until I see an opt-out for objective mode missions, this suggestion isn’t equal rights at all.

Don’t get me wrong though, I actually do support the idea. I see no reason to deny people an opt-out when it doesn’t cost me anything. I’d just like to underline that this issue cuts both ways. I have been rolling my eyes and dropping missions for some time now, and suddenly when I get missions of my own to farm the forums are seeing a flurry of activity from people who seemingly have never considered the possibility that players such as myself exist.

Once again, I’d like to stress my support for the opt-out. If nothing else it undermines the players demanding these missions be removed entirely. But please don’t forget that competitive mode isn’t the only mode that is unpopular with certain players, even if there’s an obvious majority/minority relationship.

Edit: I’m an idiot and misread things.

Personally I’d like more variety of missions in the mix then these would come up less often, everyone is happy.
