Hey guys. I’m only level 14 so I’m still saving up for new mercs and I was wondering whether or not to buy a credit booster since it’s on sale. I know at it’s standard price it’s not really worth it, but is it worth it whilst on sale?
Opinions on the credit booster sale
Pretty sure you’re still better off buying mercs with real money instead of spending it on boosters. My napkin math tells me boosters will give you about half the credits needed for a merc.
Boosters become viable on ~50% discount and a double credit event (so it stacks to 4x) and when you have every merc so you really want just credits for trade ups or those lovely 0.3% cases.
Pretty much what Mars here said + Credit booster without double credit weekend/ whatever ain’t too bad when you’re going for lots of trade-ups.
So it’s kinda worth buying a couple now and holding on to them until a double credit weekend? I assume they stay in your inventory until you activate them?
Are you certain they stay in your inventory because if so I’ll purchase one now and wait till there’s a double credit weekend.
Yes, they stay in your inventory. I have two of them lying around from the Christmas packs that I bought. I might use one of them in this event though!
Play the missions every 3 hours to the best of your abilities and don’t miss your daily 2,000 credits. For me I’ve been trying to cut back going out and spending money so my weekends are DB and I earn a ton of creds.
I get a new merc every 5-6 days. I have 2 left to unlock and I just started this game 2/18/16. I did start w/ the Humble Bundle for $1 which helped.
For reference I have 183 hours and I’m almost level 16.
Do they really have double credit weekends that often? I’ve been playing frequently for 3 months and haven’t seen one.
The American Medical Association along with the National Health Service has stated that playing ranked induces migraines.
^^ It’s totally true.
Yay, I get to break out an old classic!

It doesn’t apply directly to this scenario, but it does provide some raw data if anybody is interested in doing the necessary math. Enjoy!
