[Opinion] Why I find Red Eye is more rewarding to play than Thunder

TL:DR: Expectations

Now why do I find Red Eye more rewarding to play? I think it’s a matter of one thing. Expectations. I don’t expect a recon to be the greatest at getting kills or doing well in general. While I expect an assault to be at bare minimum good at either killing people or clearing them out of areas. Red Eye surpasses my expectations of a recon while Thunder falls short of my expectations of an assault. In a match I do incredibly poorly with Thunder, I feel worthless to my team, but with Red Eye I can at least still point out people or cover people while doing badly in a match. It’s kind of expected that I might not do well with a recon, but not an assault (at least at what they are supposed to do).

Its the exact opposite for me. I can’t do anything with Red Eye but I can destroy the enemy team as Thunder. His lmg isn’t bad at all, not sure why so many are having issues using it.

His lmg does apparently 11 damage per shot and goes all over the place after like 10 shots in reference to why people (and myself) have issues with it. The topic isn’t about whether or not Red Eye or Thunder is good or my ability to play as them though.

Thunder with Timik is pretty absurd, it’s such a breeze to wreck people if you manage your concussion nades well.

Why are you comparing the two? They’re so different from each other it’s like comparing apples to oranges.

Did anyone read the third paragraph? That’s the point of the topic and I think quite a few other people dislike Thunder for a similar reason.

Well if it’s a mental thing then it’s your job to fix. I think a lot of people may have been expecting a second fragger with concussion grenades. I don’t get the point of this thread.

Thunder sucks with his machine gun right now. Red Eye is very good pick after the recent buff, he is much more effective and stable than Vassili.

Try using Timik or Stark loadout for Thunder, it might help a BIT.
