opening files

(avery) #1

I am going through some old pk3 files and noticing one thing that I need to edit for my server. What programs do you use for shader and md3 files?

For shader files, i was told to download 3DVIA Studio, but I can’t seem to just open the file and edit what is already there.

For md3 files, I am uploading sauerbrauten.

Are there better programs out there that are free? If these are good ones, HOW DO I OPEN THEM?! lol .

Thanks in advance

Shader: notepad
md3: C’s model tool. (or milkshape to edit)

Like Rebel, but I use Notepad++ for shader and all the scripting stuff, Flippy’s ETScript4 to check typos in .script, but the Notepad is enough for shaders.

There’s also a Q3 Windows program to preview shaders:

What about the md3 files?

C Model Tool, you’ll find the download link in a sticky thread.

Q3ASE doesn’t support well ET shaders isn’t it?
