[Online Services] How to create a new match instead of matchmaking

(Hyrage) #1

That’s a dumb concept that shouldn’t be on PC or console either.

I click on Freeplay > Public game
But I can’t create a public game, I only join one that lag as hell.

Please allow us to create our game directly, pbulic and private and to search games. Mathmaking isn’t the only way and sure isn’t the best way here.

For Public games, you will matchmake unless your match settings are found to be unique. In other words, if you change an obscure setting like ‘Command Post Buffs’ or ‘Overtime’ to a non-default value in the Custom Settings, you will probably create a new match, provided someone else hasn’t already created a match with the same specifications.

Specifying a map instead of ‘Any’ will also increase your chances or creating a new server.

The quickest and most surefire way to create a server is to begin a Private one that only Friends and invitees can join.

after your friends join your private match, can it be switched to public?

Yeah that needs to be changed… I don’t understand how you expect someone to enjoy a game when they are forced into a game they didn’t want to join to begin with.

Why is it different from the PC version?

Freeplay > Search game> Select game with the right ping to avoid laggy games

I don’t see any reason why the 360 version doesn’t have a search game browser. It’s crucial for all platforms in order to allow us to select the games that fit our needs and to prevent lag. I don’t know who thought console gamers don’t need such freature, but it was a really dumb decision and especially… a risky one.
