One thing Really Wrong with the Event.
I wish they would just lock any new threads so I don’t have to post 10 times. Would you really waste 50k credits to actually buy stoker later? Doubt it. There are better mercs. But you could keep him out of your squad and put proxy in it. You own that merc and you will get the card. Easy.
Your heretic ways have no effect on the true stoker players, fool. Every bit of those 50k credits are worth it.
(Seriously though, being an engineer is a bit of an unfair advantage, don’t you think?)
The one thing that is wrong with the event is that the obsidian and culprit card are for the same merc, and not both of them are set cards.
The obsidian is a set card, and the culprit is a 1/9 chance apparently.
So there will be unlucky people who bought both and get the exact same loadout for both cards.
It’s really stupid. It shouldn’t be 1/9 chance for the culprit.

People who bought the obsidian should have a choice whether they want to roll 1 from 9 or exlude the obsidian loadout and roll 1 from 8.
@RazielWarmonic @stayfreshshoe pretty please?

Not sure that that is possible. I agree that it would be nice.

Pretty sure our technology is advanced enough for a popup window with a question and 2 buttons

But the button would have to change the case itself, which is already in our inventories. So I’m not sure if it’s contents can be changed or accessed.
I thought culprit card will be a 2nd generation and obsidian won’t. Am I wrong?
The obsidian will be. Idk about the culprit card. At least, that’s what I’ve heard

Yeah it would need to replace a “1/9” case with a “1/8”. But it’s not like adding and removing cases operations do not exist already. We also got a whole new smartphone UI just for this event, so all bases are covered
I was unaware they were 2nd gen, so apologies. I didn’t realise they were set in stone yet. My understanding was the cards were able to be opened after the event and that they were only hoping to “possibly” bring the 2nd gen cards out when the event ended.

Stoker is hideous.

I think that the final four should’ve got something nice and exclusive for all the work it took to make them the final four. A lot of people grinded hard and played for hours to bump up those percentages to get those four to win.
There should’ve been a “prime suspect” reward, like skins… nice skins, that’re better than the 5 minute photoshop Tron ones or something for each of the four that everyone gets. I know SD could never fathom such generosity, being that they are SD, but it would’ve been a nice show of appreciation for the time logged and participation of the userbase in their dumb event.
And that way people might not feel as fucked over by the entire event. At least then it would’ve felt more fair. Still, the people that couldn’t get their favorite mercs into the final four will still feel cheated, but that’s just because this entire event was stupid and ofc we all knew in the beginning Proxy would win, due to the lack of free engineer and the fact she’s one of the lowest skill ceiling-beginner lover mercs in the game.
All we can do is hope SD never wastes their players’ time (and assloads of credits) with an event like this again lmao.
Rather, I think the people who bought the obsidian card should be able to choose which of the four they get the card for, but NOT with the special edition card

@Mercy Do you realize proxy is losing right now?
