Lets get one thing straight.
I love Brink, its the perfect alternative for me instead of COD. (which I hate)
Now, I’ll admit I heard this suggested somewhere else (youtube I think) and I thought it sounded pretty dumb (I hadnt bought the game then) and that was “there’s no real way to show off your custom characters in-game”.
I think Brink could do with something like this. So instead of posting images or videos of characters on youtube or whatever you could have some way to show off your characters.
I dont know how practical this is to implement though.
It would be a nice addition.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but, I don’t care about showing off my character.
If we could TRULY customize our characters, like the custom logos in CoD, the paint jobs in Forza, or the drivers/cars in PS3’s ModNation Racers, then I’d be more interested. But due to the semi-basic level of customization in Brink, there’s really not much to show off.
Back in my Quake 2 and Unreal days, there were LOTS of modded character models out there that were fun to DL and use. I even tried to make my own Quake2 model (hockey player). After hours of trying and failing, I gave up though.
I like in Brink that I can make my security guy look like Jesse Ventura from Predator, or my resistance guy look like Hulk Hogan or one of Joker’s minions (purple clothes, green hair, hockey mask with the smile), but not to the point where I need to show everyone my simple creations.
