There are a lot of different variables I think you’re not taking into account on why you’re getting OHK’d as a heavy.

Does the enemy have a damage buff?
Does the enemy have a damage buff and a high power gun?
Is it a soldier with armor piercing rounds ON TOP of having a damage buff?
Is it a soldier with one of the high power guns ON TOP of having armor piercing rounds ON TOP of having a damage buff?
Do you have full health at the time of being beaten, or was it below 50%?[/ul]
I can probably come up with several more, but there are a lot of factors that play into getting OHK’d as a heavy. It’s happened to me frequently using my Heavy, and on the same token there’ve been instances where I come out of a firefight with 3 enemies with minimal damage after wiping the floor with them all. It’s all about the weapons, the buffs and your own health when you engage. If you have a medic health buff, on top of the health command post buff, on top of the Battle Hardened ability, there is no way you’re getting OHK’d, even in the ideal OHK circumstance. The blow will leave you with a minimal amount of health left, but you’ll still be standing. It’s all about knowing the “science of combat” for Brink.
