One shot kills and responsive controls.

I know that this is sort of a broad spectrum topic but I didn’t want to make more than one. So here it is;

I have been playing this game since day one and since day one I have been getting downed in a single shot. Today it really started to piss me off because I am playing as my first heavy. I had a upgraded command post a health buff and kevlar and you’re telling me I can be taken down in a single shot? what is the point of being a heavy or giving out buffs if a sniper rifle (that the whole team is using.) with armor peircing bullets and a weapon buff can kill you, and your whole team, in a single shot?

Secondly, when did the controls become so lame? It is SO hard to give out buffs now especially being a heavy medic. I can’t crouch when I want to, when I tap SMART and try to manually do manuvers I stop sprinting so basically you have to hold SMART to manually SMART anyhow? and now recently (I’m sure it’s not lag 25/30 internets) when I iron sight it does it twice or just takes forever to shoot. Heavy take reeeeeaaaaally long time to iron sight and fire (isn’t he supposed to be buff? not a fat ass… lol)

Anyway just some thoughts for the community, don’t come flaming or game bashing.

Here’s looking forward to the future,

BiiG

Whaaaaat? Not sure what the heck you are talking about. Did you just get yo ass kicked or something? sounds like you got your tail whipped and are venting.

No dude I have been playing heavy for about a week now and I’m doing just fine, not losing or anything. Just some things seem a bit shaky lately.

Even with a health buff the heavy is still slow and has less ability to dodge by design, so will be a bullet sponge. You have to approach the heavy with its own unique tactics. Heavy is a support role and a space clogger, especially near a defend obj. I tear people up with a heavy. Use cover more, and cover lean rather than moving completely out of cover. Use the cover lean. Try playing the heavy less in open space. Try to move close to walls and pay attention to your health. A cool technique I use with a heavy is, drop a Gatling Turret and stand behind it with your Heavy Machine Gun. Now you have double damage beasting.

I’m not dissing the heavy I’m saying why is there one shot kills when SD put out in the begining the ONLY one shot kill would be a buffed sniper on a light character.

Last I looked the sniper with weapon buff deals 250 damage per head shot. A heavy with 5 extra HP pips has I think 270 or is it 280 HP ?

Most situations when I think I died to quickly it turnes out that some teammate from behind was trying to shoot at the same enemy and also hittin me at the same time.

No, wolf. I actually know what Biiig is talking about. Just recently my heavies have copped damage like a medium, and medium like a light. Even with a lvl 1 I’m dropping a lot quicker. Would a recent damage patch have come through?

(BiigDaddyDellta) #10

yeah, I’m playing at this moment. people are starting to SPAM the sniper rifles BiiG time.

personally I think buffing needs a big tweak in general. It’s pretty counter productive to the fun of the game when your cursor does all kinds of bumb crazy **** whenever you try and buff someone. either toss the buff or don’t I say, don’t go chasing them down or spin in ****ing circles trying to give is out.

(wolfnemesis75) #12

Nah. An upgraded command post buff and 33% weapon upgrade to boot combined with an accurate headshot and armor piercing rounds will put anyone’s fat ass down. Plus even as a heavy if you got hit by some stray bullets then hit with a headshot yo fat ass goes down too.

(BiigDaddyDellta) #13

I’m saying, that sort of defeats the purpose. I can understand a fresh non buffed person, one shot but all buffed out it should be two.

Wow someone killed your whole team with one shot? That’s one crazy a** Kennedy assassin style bullet!

… which gun where they using?

(BiigDaddyDellta) #15

Individually lol, you ass  im guessing barnett or however it is spelled.

(wolfnemesis75) #16

I killed two people with one shot last night. On SecT

(BiigDaddyDellta) #17

Thats okay if they’re hurt or lights. Some bullets should penetrate flesh as well as glass and walls.

It was the Barnett, but the bullet had a picture of Chuck Norris on it.

I dunno, usually i’m okay in Multiplayer but it’s when i’m up against the AI it seems that they can one shot the crap out of the player team. I even managed to be one shot’d standing alone in a closed elevator. When i was down the doors opened and the AI was by the Command post.

Yeah it’s like they know just where you are and what objective you’re doing. They will also “hunt” for you in a crowd which is tiring.

Ever notice how just before you revive or just before you lay your turret or mine or anything that has a little time bar you die. It feels just like objectives they don’t notice until the end, then destroy you before you can complete what you’re doing.
