One minute cooldown on self-revive? Plus bonus QQ.

I joined this game slightly before Phantom after seeing a stealth unit in a promo video. Upset no such thing existed at the time, I was happy Phantom released. Shortly after, he got nerfed so hard he’s unplayable. I immediately lost interest in supporting this game, but out comes Phoenix from the ashes with a mechanic that interested me. Maybe I will try Dirty Bomb again! I instantly spend some cash for Phoenix like an idiot, to find his unique ability, in a game all about double-tapping your target, has a MINUTE cooldown?

Ugh, it’ll probably get nerfed to two minutes because it’s not trash enough.

TL;DR phantom QQ srsly, Phoenix cooldown stupid long, new-ish player’s disappointments feedback

Self-revive is more of a bonus like Nader’s martyrdom. Your primary concerns should be Kekslapping people in the face and healing teammates on the move.

It’s not supposed to be this easy. At least be happy you get one “free out of jail” card per minute. You’re a medic, you’supposed to stay alive and heal your team. Not go head to head with the whole enemy team and abusing your self revive.

Yeah, when he got nerfed, I was bummed out too. I keep getting at the bottom of the match. I try to use other mercs, but it was really difficult (like almost last every time). I finally manged and quickly get into the top 3 of the match, almost every single game. You just have to give Dirty Bomb a chance and play other mercs. Well, Phantom was buffed now, (the katana swing), and when I do play him, (and I don’t play with him alot) I can get on the top of the list. But I like to do objectives, so I choose Fletcher. Pistachino, if you get upset about something, don’t give up. Try to learn to use other things to help you up!

And here I thought 60 seconds was rather generous and maybe could have been 90 seconds or something instead.

No way man. Think about it. When you die, almost 100% of the time they finish you off. This is a nice addition to have, because they always finish you off.

I feel like the self revive CD is way too long. In fact, it shouldn’t have a CD in the first place IMO. Maybe just make the self revive take longer and have it appear more evident so the enemy team knows that you’re reviving. If nader has a context sensitive action that doesn’t have a CD, why should Phoenix?

And since when do phoenixes ressurect every now and then? :persevere:

I played a few games as Pheonix after playing it 90% of the time during my Alpha testing only to realize now its pretty meh self revive cause 90% of the time you will probably get finished before reviving.

One thing i didnt notice or check was if the cooldown was reset after respawn? or does it persist through death like other skills. I think if it resets on respawn 1 minute isnt that bad, but if it persists then its far too long.

I don’t mind the long CD on his self-revive, but I feel the time it takes to use it is just slightly to long. I’ve had times when I’ve fully charged it only to get gibbed as I stand and other times where I get gibbed just a half second before it finishes charging.
