pls restrict ALL netsettings for brink. there is to much abuse in earlier games.
i think i am not the only one, who don’t wanna shoot at a sliding enemy whose hs-hitbox stands on his ass (or dunno somewhere else)…
graphictweaks are fine but please no customizable netsettings from day one.

What, so you can’t change things like your client prediction at all? It’s enough that it is restricted to a reasonable range.

good point.
also config mangling will turn “Quake Wars” into “config wars”, before.
saw embrarrasing # of players with ridiculous configs[for net predict explitation, benefits]. today in ETQW.

Semi on topic, I don’t know anything bout netsetting, BUT in depth customization files with configs are a must.

there shouldnt be any restrictions on the client side. period.
the PC is no console.

Just make it possible for servers to force minimum net-settings on clients.

There should always be some restrictions in place with regards to the values you can set, but I do like having my own autoexec tailored to my personal preferences.
