Haha yeah I’ve done that a few times as soldier as well. Underslung GL spam everywhere. It’s pretty unbalanced in a way since you can shoot them once or twice then quickly just GL and they’re dead instantly. But I guess the soldier needs the combat superiority.
ok weapons are much better (not perfect) but now its time for maps
I know for a fact that there’s no one good who plays the game anymore… they quit after the competitive scene died. Point was that I could carry my team as a light with a carb with very little effort, even if they were mostly free weekenders, it’s the same experience as the first week it came out.
I didn’t say anyone “good” plays, but at least wait until after the free weekend…haha. Its the same experience as the first week, because no one on the servers right now knows how to complete objectives…and every game stalls at the first objective. 1-2 regular players on offense cuts through the free weekender defenses without any resistance.
Anyway, all regular players knows to go light and use the Carb. You can’t really dominate everyone in a game with high spread guns, anyway. Most of the free weekenders could kill the “pros”. The difference is just knowledge of the game and decision making ability.
Oh, I also think that the level of play on PC right now is very low. But I doubt you would be embarrassing anyone. Everyone knows to go light with a Carb when you want to win. Because of the high spread, nobody really “owns” anyone in Brink. Its not like the comp players had any special technique that the regular players don’t know about. They just had good teamwork.
hahahaha i remember in etqw i averaged 85 kills per map in an African Campaign, and had about 600xp without ever touching the objective. A few players even raged, accusing me of “xp whoring”
well I went through and got a whole bunch of screen shots but then realized, it may not be worth my time to edit them and give more feedback on what would be done to fix the maps. After 7 months of feedback I doubt any of it would even be read. If badman or anyone else really wants me to, they can post that they would appreciate the suggestions and Ill post screenshots and changes. But right now, I am not sure that real constructive criticism is something that either this community or the developers would be willing to entertain.
well it would take time is the issue. time that I dont think would be worth the effort.
I took a bunch of screenshots but only on a select few maps and I would probably pull them in photoshop and place arrows and text on them to explain what could change.

according to steamgraph: http://steamgraph.burstpixel.net/index.php?action=graph&appid=q22350&from=0
the sale brought in a bunch of people but not as many as the last free weekend things and they’re dropping off just as fast.
Notice the pattern? 3 bumps:
Release - big bump with fairly quick dropoff (a month or 2 until hardly anyone on the servers)
AOC + free weekend - mid sized bump with pretty quick dropoff (0.5 - 1 month until hardly anyone left)
Patch + free weekend - small bump and seems to be dropping quickly.
I’d wait to see if a community sticks before putting too much time and effort into things. Unless you’re doing it for console. I have no idea what console community is like. But I assume (screenshots + PS means PC) == not consoles.
Don’t get your hopes up for new maps, sadly it seems the clan update is the last major update for this game, from here on out just small patch updates if any.
bumps are smaller now because people all know how much of a ripoff this game is. facepalm.
no, not talking about new maps, just fixing the old ones. In fact some maps can be fixed with faster movers, slower dehack. There are a few problem maps that require even more than that though.

PC of course. and yea, I agree. Heck, I had a few fun rounds but more often then not it turned out to be a deathmatch since most maps you cant win on unless the other team is dumb. So, I think I am gone again unless I see something from SD (which I doubt).
