Ok weapon modding for et I need help.

Ive never really attempted to make a new weapon in et but here is my first attempt, I did not make this model nor do I take credit for it. All I want to know is how I can get it to work in wolfet.

I have gotten the model to show in 3rd person only and the skin did not show it was invisble in first person and well was covered in missing texture (oarnge boxes) while it layed on the ground. Im still stumped on how I would get it to work.

Here is the failed attempt from a 3rd person view, in first person everything but the clip is invisible. Also dont worry that was my failed attempt at making a super soldier in et…eh :shock:

To show textures you must:
a) name material like path to the texture file

models/weapons2/myweap/texture.jpg

b) make .skin file

myweap_part1, “models/weapons2/myweap/texture1.jpg”
myweap_part2, “models/weapons2/myweap/texture2.jpg”

and modify .weap file

thirdPerson {
skin “myweap.skin”
}

Can you make an example out of the mac10, like make it work and send me the files so i can work off those to add more weapons. Im a little confused about the whole skin thing, It seems none of the stock weapons have hardly any skin files in the models/weapons2 folder except an arm and hand skin…sigh im missing something

all stock weapons have skins in that folder, they’re tga files

i remember that some mod called vagine or something had the supersoldier converted to mdm

Hmmm i have seen this weapon befor on a server model looks the same…

And the weapon is for cv ops not sure if you took it from another mod and made it a bit diffent but it looks alot like the one from the screenshot
Just giving you this information unless you whanna look it up the server host told me he made it unless you own the server :stuck_out_tongue: :poke:

i made all weapons on that server, youre ingram(mac10) is different
the one i have
this is how it looked a while ago (its slightly changed by now as you can see if you go on xX’NF’Xx server)

I attempted to join that server but none of the downloads work so it keeps kicking me and says im missing paks…
