Who uses matchmaking? Use the damn server browser! As amusing as it is to be in a Australian serve rand have these bewildered euro’s and east coast guys wandering around complaining about matchmaking and a laggy bad game it would all be fixed if they just used a server browser, sorted by ping, and played at home.
I dont get those who come in here saying DB wont work with FF enabled. ET and QW always had FF on and it just was never an issue. So where are these people coming from to base their appraisal? If its not ET or QW then it just isn’t valid. In my opinion.
V_says will become more meaningful with call outs like “fire in the hole” actually meaning something u need to pay attention to - because if u dont ur prob going to get a face of arty. (never liked the auto v_say thing “im arming dyno”!! “im healing” “im tossing a nade”" etc. IF i want my team to know something i am perfectly capable of doing my own V_say.
Just more dumbing down. Turning FF on is just one step back away for what is now essentially a dumbed down slower cousin to ET and QW. We need to make more steps in the right direction.
there would obviously be a period where those not used to FF on will do stupid stuff like ignore teammate airstrike placement warnings and fail to move. Likewise those placing airstrikes will do so with no regard to if there are teammates there. These are just new or unskilled players. The mess up all the time so of course they will mess up with FF.
There is no solution to bad players being bad. Unskilled (or new) players can at least prac and gain stills. Bad players simply get kicked of FF servers by messing up badly and will find their place in the training wheel servers with FF disabled. Natural selection.
For those who are not just bad - who are just not used to a FPS that takes skill over spam dont worry: those sorts of hiccups are normal while folks adjust to FF enabled but with a little awareness and education (kicked for team damaged or vote kicked for being an ass who wanders into teammates FF) you will be surprised how fast people learn.
