Official offline practice mode and allow us to host our own private matches.

There is a way to start your own offline practice mode, and it involves using the console and load the map from there. The problem is, you need a second player to start the match, and because you loaded the map via console, you can’t get a second person to start the match, meaning you are stuck in warmup mode. The 3 mercs you can use is Sawbonez, Proxy, and Fragger with their default loadout cards. You can use the consoles to change weapons, or change mercs, but when you do, the weapon models are wrong or incomplete.

What I suggest for an offline practice mode is to be able to be access from the main menu user interface. Once you do so, it leads to a screen where you can choose your 3 mercs and their loadout cards, as well as allowing you to pick a side. You can also set the map you want to play, the game type, and how long the match lasts. When you do so, you can start the match. When the match starts, there is no warmup time. The minimum players to start the game should be 0, not 2. Because the match already started, you can run through all the objectives alone just to see how finishing the objectives changes the map, or using this mode to find secret shortcuts. Also in this mode, you can access the limbo menu to change your mercs and loadout during the match whenever you please, as well as switch sides whenever you please. You don’t earn credits and XP for playing this mode.

Differences between joining an online match and offline practice mode:

You can’t change squad members and loadout cards online, but you can do so offline.
Max players is 6, 7, or 8 online, 1 offline.
Min players before match starts is 2 online, 0 offline.
Online, the timer is set. Offline, you can set the timer to whatever you want.

The second suggestion is letting us host our own private matches. The current private match format has to have 5 players in a team before you can load the map because it is using the Nexon servers, and Nexon probably doesn’t want a server with 2 guys just fooling around. If we hosted our own matches, let’s say, on our own computers, we won’t be using up any of the Nexon servers. If we are allowed to host our own matches, make it so that there is LAN support as well as internet support.

I forgot to mention, when you host private match on your own computer, max players is however you set it, ranging from 1 to infinite, if your internet connection can handle it, and the min players before match can start is whatever you set it as, and it can range from 0 to infinite.

I think practice mode as described is a great idea. Noobs could go in and have a look around before they jump in the deep end. Also be a quick way to go in and do some practice jumps.

Also dedicated servers would be great too so you can teach your friends who might be new to the game. I know DB dont have enough server capacity to allow small groups of people in servers. Id like the ability to host my own for sure.

Use this command if you want to start the game while only being one person.
set SGGameInfo Timelimit 999 | set SGGameInfo m_minplayers 1 | set SGTeamInfo respawntime 0 | set SGTeamInfo m_minimumrespawnwaittime 0

It also removes the spawntimer and change the timelimit to 999 so it doesn’t change map, but you can remove those if you want.

I’ll try that out. It doesn’t help that you only get to use Sawbonez, Proxy, and Fragger. If you do change the mercs, their weapons are messed up.

Ok, the command works, except for the fact that I can’t pick up any objectives, so maps such as bridge, chapel, dome, and trainyard don’t work.

I’m basically asking them to make the offline practice mode accessible through the menu UI, and have the things you mentioned, the 4 commands, be the default.

Add the fact that there needs to be a limbo menu to change your 3 mercs and loadouts, as well as switch sides whenever you wish.

Ok, I tested what not having an internet connection does when it comes to running this game. It won’t work. So another suggestion is that the game can be run without an internet connection, but you can only access the offline practice mode, or a LAN multiplayer mode.

I said before that the offline practice mode mercs are the same mercs that you have unlocked, well maybe I didn’t say that, but the accessible mercs offline are the same ones you have already unlocked. So how can the game tell what mercs you have unlocked when you are offline? It would save the mercs you had the last time you logged in, and the next time you run the game, you have access to those mercs. It means when your friend used your computer, and logged out, the next time you log in to your own account, you will see your friend’s mercs instead, until you go online, and then quit the game, and re-enter the game, and in which case, the offline accessible mercs will have your unlocked mercs.

Or maybe another way is to check which steam account was used to run the game, and match it with the online profile to check which mercs are unlocked for offline mode.
