So this is an objective game and I love it (alot for my hate of CoD) but with DLC comin I was rolling an Idea around my head for the DLC, have a map with both teams defending and attacking. I really liked the objective play of games like Frontlines: FoW and Homefronts CTF, but with Brink they could do it a bit differently, like 3 levels of the map. My flow chart for the idea

The idea also considers the possibility that the next map is about the Ark fish farms
Offence AND Defence
Good idea although there is no reason to keep the next objective so static. What I mean is that the objectives success or failure should determine what happens next. So if a team fails an objective, the following objective is different than if they succeeded at the first objective. Instead we have an extremely linear objective list where the defense just has to endure for the length of the match. Each objective should be much shorter in duration (~5 minutes) and evolve as the match progresses.
Something like this (from the perspective of the Offensive team):
Objective 1 Success > Objective 2.
Objective 1 Failure > Objective 3.
Objective 2 Success > Objective 4.
Objective 2 Failure > Objective 3.
Objective 3 Success > Objective 4.
Objective 3 Failure > Reverse Objective 4 (The Defending team must complete this objective instead of the Offensive team).
Objective 4 Success > Win.
Objective 4 Failure > Lose.
EDIT: Additionally, each completed objective should grant a bonus or advantage of some type. As a result the Defending team could lose the first 2 objetives yet still win the match but the Offensive team would have gained 2 separate bonuses in the process. In this manner completing an objective matters for the remainder of the match, not just progresses to the next sequential objective.
It would also make it possible for a team to lose multiple objectives yet still win the match. Keep in mind that losing objectives would grant the other team the bonuses instead so you can still win but it would be much, much harder to accomplish.
That’s already a hundred times superior to CTF. But i still don’t see why you want both in the same map. Both teams having one goal is much more fun.
Yeah, otherwise it all too often ends up with everyone defending, really boring (or frustrating when you attack without your team’s commitment,

One of my favorite maps ever was in RtCW, called Depot. With Allies trying to blow up the Anti-Air gun, and Axis trying to take out the communication command post. It made for some long ass games sometimes but it was a ton of fun.
I miss dual-objecitve maps
