odd caulk problem

(Mammoth Entertainment Inc) #1

i have a section in my map that i jsut noticed after doing work is turing into a weird caulkedarea after i compile and run. THe editor shows no caulk brushes, no brushes i ntaht shape or anything, that ican see causeing this. Here is a pic i took of it. I already erased the brushs and redrew them but hte problem is still there. Any suggestions?

Judging from the screenshots you’re using CSG Subtract alot, one piece of advise, don’t, if you don’t use it, keep it that way! Anyways, you should go to Plugins -> Bobtoolz -> Brush Cleanup
Retry to see if it works, if not, copy all the stuff you have in the map into a new one and it should be fixed…

What could also be a problem, but I doubt that, is that you filter certain brush types. :stuck_out_tongue:

The problem seems to be an endless brush.

One of those should fix the problem defenitely.

ok, i never used CSG subtract and i use bobstoolz b4 every compile twice (yea yea i like to make sure)
i also turned all my filters off to see if i had a clip brush someone screwing it up and i saw nothing… i will look once more though and worst case will c & p it to a new file…

maybe ifurita knows whats wrong? lol

Does is happen if you remove the rubble?
Just a guess but try raising the rubble, 1 unit off the floor.

How much of that is detailed brushwork?
My first thoughts would be, collapsed brush (bobs tools can miss them if there part of a function group, you’ll get a flipped trangle error in your compile log) or over complexe structural section.
