Which is why tournaments are generally a controlled environment. Plenty of games that release bugfixes and have glitches also have tournaments. Even games like CS:GO has hackers as well. Doesn’t stop them from having a competitive scene. On top of that plenty of games develop competitive interest before release. If something is built up ahead of time it makes it that much easier on release to get a stable viewing population. The environment will already exist before there is a massive demand for it(or at least that is my hope).
