Game isnt even released yet, full of bugs, glitchers, haxers and much more. Great idea…

Which is why tournaments are generally a controlled environment. Plenty of games that release bugfixes and have glitches also have tournaments. Even games like CS:GO has hackers as well. Doesn’t stop them from having a competitive scene. On top of that plenty of games develop competitive interest before release. If something is built up ahead of time it makes it that much easier on release to get a stable viewing population. The environment will already exist before there is a massive demand for it(or at least that is my hope).

Good on you OCB for taking the initiative upon yourselves and starting up a tournament. I look forward to seeing the results.

Will any parts of it be streamed or recorded for people who want to watch?

looking forward to it.

Glhf

Well nice, good luck with that and good luck to all players, seems pretty cool!

(Cookie) #7

I look forward to it, I’m probably too low-skilled for it. Will it be in different skill levels or just an all round competition?

(Mura) #8

Sounds like fun, wish I had a team to compete with

(XavienX) #9

I wonder how it’s gonna go for experienced Vassili players that use jumpshot for their surprise element now…

(FeralFlame) #10

Go out and find one  there is a whole sub-forum about clan recruitment.

(FeralFlame) #11

Its all just one big competition, there is no different skill categories its all under MLG

(crooKk) #12

Good initiative and thumbs up for putting it off, but I basically quit comp because of sparks/redeye - “the 2-Merc Rule; 2 identical mercs per-game” would surely lead me toward uninstalling

(watsyurdeal) #13

What does that 2 merc rule even mean?

(darlingClaymore) #14

Will we get kicked from it if we state our opinions? the inside joke is real

(coruscate) #15

You are allowed to have 2 of each mercs in battle. 2xAura 2xSky 1 fragger for example. or 2x Aura 2x Rhino 1xBushwanker

(N8o) #16

I will be bringing two Fletchers, two Rhinos, and an Aura. Ty very much.

(Dawnlazy) #17

Will that be you and Cosmic on Fletcher, Crucifix and Subz on Rhino and Deadcake on Aura?

(N8o) #18

I wasn’t being serious… But that would probably be our setup if we were to do it.

Do it or no balls.

Sorry for not getting back to you guys sooner!

The tournament is open to people of all skill levels; we’re trying to emphasize fair and fun play.

After some review, we’re abandoning the 2-merc rule for this World Cup. We’ll be doing the standard 1-merc rule instead.

Sign-ups are still happening, and will continue until the 29th of February. The World Cup will begin on the 7th of March. Full details can be found at http://ocb-gaming.com/tournament or by joining our TeamSpeak (ts3.ocb-gaming.com) and speaking to Ads913.
