Going to attempt to keep this short and sweet…

Concept
A system separate to XP and kills used to help enforce objective/team play and used for matchmaking. Players will receive Objective Points for doing both roll and objective actions. These are to be displayed by the Kills, Deaths and Assists on the scoreboard. Different actions give different rewards and this will allow enforcing and proving worth without the need of XP.

The Way It Works
Simply perform certain actions and be rewarded with Objective Points. Pretty much like Kills the number alone does not really have any effect on gameplay. However, it can give less skilled players an avenue to attack score wise. The most important aspect is its use in matchmaking. Objective points being saved for each Merc will allow SD and the players themselves to see the Mercs they are using “correctly”.

ie, A medic with low objective points would mean hes not healing/reviving and a Field Ops without would be pointing towards not given enough ammo or calling down/landing enough AoE.

With matchmaking using this system you could then “suggest” a role to the player based on what they are best at (and if there is a better Medic in the team suggest something else). It would also allow for SD to ATTEMPT to place full team comps together (providing the player pool is high enough at launch).

Examples
ALL MERC - Primary Objective = 14pts (timed pts for % based objectives)
ALL MERC - Primary Objective Attempt (planting) = 4pts
ALL MERC - Secondary = 7pts (Timed pts for % based objectives)
ALL MERC - Secondary Objective Attempt (planting) = 2pts
ALL MERC - Kill Enemy Doing Objective = 2pts
ALL MERC - Kill Enemy From Objective = 1pts
ALL MERC - 3x Assists = 1pts
ALL MERC - 3x Kill = 1pts
ALL MERC - Help Up = 1pts

MEDICS - Revive = 1pts
MEDICS - Heal = 1pts (per 100hp healed)
MEDICS - 5x Heal in 1 life = 1pts (bonus then reset)
MEDICS - 3x Revive in 1 life = 1pts (bonus then reset)

FO - Ammo = 1pts (per 3 clips)
FO - AoE Kill = 2pts + Other Applicable Points
FO - AoE Kill x3 = 2pts + Other Applicable Points (bonus then reset)

SOLDIER - 2x Kill = 1pts + Other Applicable Points
SOLDIER - 3x Assist = 1pts + Other Applicable Points
SOLDIER - Kill Bonus (Kills with or under the influence of abilities) = 1pts + Other Applicable Points

ENGIE - Primary Objective = x1.5 Multiplier
ENGIE - Secondary Objective = x1.5 Multiplier
ENGIE - Ability Kills = 1pts + Other Applicable Points
ENGIE - Ability Kills on the Objective = 2pts + Other Applicable Points
ENGIE - Defuse = 5pts

RECON - Spotted Kill (Friendly Gets Kill or Self) = 1pts
RECON - HS Kill = 1pts
RECON - Kills on Objective = 1pts

I think this sort of system would also be a good global stat (much more relevant), especially for both competitive/spec and ranked matchmaking. You have your flat ELO rating on one hand, but being able to view a players proficiency in terms of kills/obis/support would be really useful information on all fronts. In a ranked mm pub it helps to quickly divide up roles within a group, a shout caster could use this sort of info to their benefit, and a recruiting team might take this sort of info into account when searching for a specific player to fulfill a specific role.
