Objective file

(Higgins) #1

Hello all, I need your help to jog my memory on the objective file. Just a few things.

In the objective file you list the objective you have, so that they get ticked off in game. I have forgot what I need to do when listing them in the game manager. What do the numbers stand for?

I have given my objective list in my game manger so, maybe you could give me an example on one or two :slight_smile:

  wm_objective_status 1 1 0  // Decoder door (allies defend)
  wm_objective_status 1 0 0
  wm_objective_status 2 1 0  // Decoder (allies defend)
  wm_objective_status 2 0 0
  wm_objective_status 3 1 0  // Escape to truck (axis escape/ win)
  wm_objective_status 3 0 0
  wm_objective_status 4 1 0  // axis command post
  wm_objective_status 4 0 0
  wm_objective_status 5 1 0  // allied command post
  wm_objective_status 5 0 0

2 = failed (e.g., red x)
1 = completed (e.g., green check)
0 = neither

stupid head :wink:

On the subject of limbo menus et al, does anyone have good points on how to orient your obj_limboo_cameras and the info_null? I try to get a good shot at the obj, then position my camera on top of the camera-view icon in the 3d and 2d windows. If I put the info_null right in the middle of the screen, the in-game shot is typically too high. Tips anyone?

the camera view starts 32 units below the center of info_limbo_camera and targets the exact center of info_null.

that means when satisfied with your camera orientation in 3d window just place the info_limbo_camera 32 units above
the cam_view icon.

glad i could help :wink:
