objective cameras

Hi mapping types

can someone plz point me in the right direction to fix a problem with my objective cameras - basically there are no pictures in the limbo menu where the camera views should be. You can hear sounds from these locations but alas, no pictures?!

have u checked targetname(s) and scriptname(s) ?

Do the camera entities point at info_notnull entities?

target names are fine, they don’t have scriptnames

The cameras point at info_notnulls when they point to stationery objects ie. the barriers and the command post, they also point directly to the ‘yellow blobs’ at spawn areas and to the script mover objectives.

It’s odd that they produce the sounds from these places but not the image.

Do you have a xxx.objdata file with wm_objective_axis_desc and wm_objective_allied_desc?
And a xxx.script file with wm_number_of_objectives?

I do indeed - come to think of it the obj numbers are 1 place out and need to be aligned; camera obj0 is being read by the limbo menu as 1, and obj2 as 3 etc.
I remember this from the first attempt at cameras, obj data and script numbering. The cameras, btw. still presented pictures even if this list was not in order!

OMG !!

sorry guys -

I’ve just found out that the camera views in the limbo menu aren’t working for any maps whatsoever!!.
Looks like it’s time for some backups and a reinstall of ET
