Like the man said, he’s been using other keys for 10 years, hard habit to break…
My problem with WASD is the lack of spacial references in that part of the keyboard. When things get hectic my fingers invariably start dancing away from their position, then I have to “reset” by looking down at the damn thing to place my fingers back where they should. Usually by the time my eyes return to the screen I’m lying in a pool of my own blood…
Some sort of gaming keyboard with removable or more prominent keys could probably fix this tactile problem, but I’ve always been comfortable with arrows + numpad + surrounding function keys. Except of course I can’t play on a laptop to save my life
But more to the point, I have no problem with the keys I bound to the numpad. fzl, any chance it’s a problem with numlock kicking in and out? My binding was all done with the numpad in function mode so the keys register as “kp_end”, “kp_down”, etc… as opposed to 1, 2, 3. I’ve had cases in other games where if numlock had latched on, all my inputs on the numpad were ignored because they were now read as 1, 2, 3, not kp_whatever.
