Nq 1.2-3a - with updated assets pack

No Quarter 1.2.3a open source assests pack modded.

I know this version is “old”, but many of use still enjoing it. So i decide i renew a bit this pack.
The 1.2.3a pack based mostly on the 1.2.9 assets pack, plus was removed some unnessesary files and added some to make sure the compatibility with the 1.2.3 codes.

How to use?

Replace the old “noquarter_v1.2.3.pk3” pack with this new (you don’t need to replace the smaller binary file) or install the full packs if you dont use nq 1.2.3. If the pack working you will see under the ingame menu a “Noquarter 1.2.3a” text.

The pack working on my testserver since december without problem!

but can u post more about the differences between NQ 123 and NQ 123 a
cuz in the noquarter.cfgs i see nothing more

side not
i created for the ftp a folder named noquarter123a
but i keep these errors when i am on the server

^1Warning: Wrong mod directory, should be ‘noquarter’
— Invalid No Quarter installation found! Read installation instructions! —
and when i joined your server to test yesterday it created for mine ET game a folder named :noquarter123a
so can you help

For clarification (read closely):
This “mod” is nothing but a messed up version of the original NQ 1.2.3 assets-pk3. Code hasn’t been changed at all, which means there is absolutely no reason why you should use this fake version instead of the official one. It is not an official NQ release, and it should not be used by server admins as it’s going to cause nothing but additional, unnecessary file downloads for all your players. Same goes for the “updated” version of NQ 1.2.9b6 [Link].

Do not use this version, stick to official releases!! This applies to everybody who reads this thread and thinks about using this package.

@macbeth:
Switch back to official NQ and update to the latest version! There’s absolutely no point in sticking to 1.2.3, all complaints about lags in newer releases are ridiculous. In fact, NQ was constantly made smoother with every new release.

we all know u work a lot with Irata on NQ but why with NQ 129 still a lot of players got disconnected on the servers where they play on , without any error message ? their game just close …

I’ve never heard of this issue in combination with NQ 1.2.9. This is most likely not caused by the mod (I never had or heard of this problem) but a client-side issue. You should advice your clients to clean up their ET installation (reinstall) or at least their nq-folder.

You can use it as many other server admin already do.

As was written in this version only the assets pack was updated (made the nq 1.2.9 assetst pack bckvard compatible with noquarter 1.2.3.+some clean-up ws done) for server admins whom still prefer the old codes but wanna use the newest assets file.

How to use: install like you do with the noquarter 1.2.3 but use the upated assets pack which is included in the zip file.
