What else is in store for Brink boys and girls? This DLC is only a short time relief so what’s going to happen when people are bored with it.

Have a feeling thats gonna happen by next week. This dlc shouldve been way more <in terms of playability more maps, tdm>if they wanted to save this title. I’m not sure it’s gonna be alive when people can still download it for free.

I imagine SD will try to salvage whats left but with no ati fix this game isn’t going to go anywhere. It’s been several months now and the game is still highly unplayable on most ati cards.

The game is already dead,and will contuine to die because of games like skyrim,BF3,MW3,RAGE.
SD will have hard time getting over the damage that brink did to them so new ET in 2020.

this game is already dead. i actually haven’t played since the game was released and my first time visiting here in months. just came to checkup on the DLC only to find out it’s free for just 2 weeks? thought the first DLC was going to be “free” … Valve and other developers would never do such things.
anyway, i don’t think anyone will ever buy a game from these folks again… i know i will never preorder a game from them again.
the DLC being free for just 2 weeks is pathetic… they changed their story from what it was in the beginning. i’m not even going to waste my time trying it cause i just want this game to die a miserable death.
too many games coming out in the next couple months to deal with BRINK.

Hopefully Splash Damage is already working in their next game, avoiding all the mistakes they did with Brink.

I would praise more Linux Dedicated Server than this DLC.
Two maps is not going to save this game, much less if they are only free for 2 weeks. It would just split the community. Those that have, those that don’t.
They need to polish what it already has.

I hope they’ll run a Steam free weekend and get some new people interested in the game.
I also hope that they’ll announce some more DLC soon (especially more maps) to show that they don’t believe that the game’s dead and give those of us who actually really enjoy it something to look forward to.
I think Brink’s a really good game and absolutely deserves to do well. There are a ton of crap/average games being released all the time, many of which are selling really well + I find it kind of disheartening reading all the harsh comments here to be honest. I know there have been some problems (I wasn’t here at the start so missed them…), but right now I’m very pleased with Brink and I hope that SD can can rebuild the player base and bring us new additional content to really max out the experience.

I’d like for it to become Free to Play. Brink is a great game. It isn’t a great “pub” game (doesn’t work well with strangers), and it isn’t a great “comp” game (guns not accurate enough)…but it is probably the best fps I’ve played for that amateur/casual clan level of play.

SD will lose too much money doing that,no solid fanbase and all of their games are old=bankrupt.

If you put a log of dog **** into a blender and blend at full speed it may prove amusing, but in the end it’s just **** that’s been blended at high speeds. That is what Brink is and will be, amusing ****!
That said, I enjoy the bayonet.

I think it will last until battlefield comes out. Maybe if the Brink community made a machinima we could make it more popular… but… I don’t know. But there have been full lobbies recently!
