Hi ALL,

Found this Bithc’n Forum while searching and searching, etc for my question.

Well, I took 5 years off from rtcw and et and now that I’m back I am getting PWNED!!!

I’m Notiicing some cool scripts out there on PunkBuster Servers I cruise.

SO, :smiley: Could someone link me with the scripts that are OK with PunkBuster???

I’ve come across a few like FOV change during shooting but I’m sure there are more and an easier way then getting kicked and starting all over

So basically you’ve never played any of the games? :stuck_out_tongue: (Or maybe you don’t mean Earth years?)

PB restrictions varies between servers, so the only way to tell fur sure which CVAR values will get you kicked is trial and error.

Yahhhh, :eek: after I posted that would give me about 2 weeks on rtcw :bash:

Ok 3.5 years. Which gave me some pretty good experience where I was usually alway in the top 25 percent. Now I’m near, way to near the bottom :banghead:

Some is the new maps, but quite a bit is there are just some DAMN GOOD PLAYERS, and SOME Great tweaking/scripts out there. I don’t like cheating and in fact at the end of my run those years back a person tweaked my cfg and then I new how I was getting sniped clear accross the map. Holly crap… But, what was cool is I was a better player for not cheating and when I used that new CFG I was owning them back… but then I quit.

I’m Play COD II but I am still just such a et rtcw fan. I love the makeup and I like the more “hand to hand” fragging if you would (compared to BF 1942).

So, I’m Back :smiley:

The CFG trial and error I understand, and I think you can look up the server requirements on those anyway.

What I want to know is multi binding type scripts:

Binding one key for a 180 degree turn
Binding onne key to call artillery so in reality you never look through binocs
Binding key to go prone with MG and then go up with pistol(s)
script to minimize recoil on sniping
Script to bind one key for laying dynomite

etc…

So any thoughts? Is this OK with punkbuster? Is this consider cheating people on this forum???

Basically I choos PB servers to Avoid cheaters, However I like to have games to be competitive and therefore FUN…

I’m just seeing too many scripts out there so I think I’m at a disadvantage?

Any thoughts?

ETPro is a mod targeted at competition play, but also run on a lot of public servers.

PB doesn’t kick for scripting, it only kicks if the script sets CVARs that are restricted on the server.

Sniper anti-recoil scripts are considered cheating and I hope it’s not possible to [reliably] script a 180 degree turn.
I don’t see any problem other ones though.
