Hello. I have attempted to use quake3map2 in order to convert my enemy territory maps into a usable format. Unfortunately, quake3map2 is not working. It says “error opening file”, then, after a few milliseconds, terminates.
The map I am testing is supply, is an official map built by id, that is prepackaged into the game. So far the only game I have tried is Enemy Territory Wolfenstein, I have the quake3 demo but that probably wont work either. If there is an alternative to quake3map2 I would like to know about it.
EDIT: I’ve tried the q3demo maps and they seem to work, in theory converting the et bsps should as well. When I’m finished testing I’ll post the results, whether or not they work.

It’s just called Q3Map2.
Your post is confusing, but I assume you just want to compile a Wolf:ET map?
Q3Map2 supports many different Q3-engine games, but you have to specify which game you want it to compile for. You do this by specifying the -game switch:

fueldump, radar, oasis, goldrush, railgun, and battery are the only ones in game
some 2.60b full installers package other maps but they are not official, and you’ll need permission from original map maker to modify

sorry, I mixed up supply with fuel dump
yeah I just want to convert etmaps to a usable mesh (outside of quake3 engine.) I haven’t finished the preliminary testing, but if it fails, I will need help.

I have a new problem: Exporting into ase format gives it thousands of groups with nothing in them. And it does not export materials, or textures. They are assorted randomly so I have to get rid of them by hand. I only have Blender to import these ases. Is it a fault of Blender? Is there another program that imports ase? Or is this a problem of Quake3map2?
