Not OP, BUT REALLY ANNOYING

[quote=“Jojack;31978”]Meanwhile me and the other dude that weren’t in there had to 2v6 attack the objective and did manage to plant a lot. They never came out of their bunker. I’ve never seen anything quite like that.

I feel you. And eventually you start feeling stupid for trying to engage with them, luring them out to help.

I have a very bad habit of assuming that people play to win (even though there is exactly zero incentive apart from a free case per level) and want to succeed at the team’s objectives.

I enjoyed execution for a few matches. Then I endured six straight rounds of the attackers camping, letting the timer run out, not understanding or caring that we lost.

Eventually you just throw up your hands, pick your merc and go deathmatch.

(sinKrin) #42

When you’re playing as the only medic on attackers and you’re constantly leading the line due to a team that constantly sit back, inevitably getting ripped a new one by the entirety of the defending side.

Getting picked off by a half decent Vasilli headshot with 20+ seconds until the next respawn.

My wedding ring occasionally bashing the melee key on my mouse during a firefight.

(TheSuperSheriff) #43

It’s also fun to kill a Nader, quick cut her, hitmark, then see the Martyrdom pop from a “suposed” dead Nader

(Potato_Ladder) #44

@extravagentBypass 2. Wish you can shake his aim while he’s scoping by shooting him since looking through scope like that requires focus.
5. Sorry for not clarifying the merc, Rhino.

@Jojack There was once on Chapel when the attackers decided to camp on the catwalk(Sorry if I used the wrong word) right side of the empty warehouse behind the EV, playing as Aura I decided to go in behind and hit them with my cricket bat. First time I ever get a gold medal for melee kills as i repeat the process over and over, still reviving my teammates as I was doing it too.

It was so damn satisfying.

(Disquieted1) #45

People that don’t either a) know what objectives are, or b) don’t neutralize Aura’s heal station when pushing.

(Ye Olde Whap Goblin) #46

People who don’t think to flank, and continuously bum rush the choke point.

And people who tap out RIGHT as I’m about to revive them

You can, it’s called hitpunch, and a lot of people complain about it.

(Reddeadcap) #48

@extravagentBypass I actually find the taunts hilarious, even the more insulting ones since its the character saying something that fleshes the out a bit.

(Old Man) #49

Really…slow people who don’t try to learn the game objectives or their class purpose. These aren’t exactly OP, but hell there is so many of them.

(mendaciousPole) #50

Don’t you love the moment when a Skyhammer doesn’t give you ammo? When you have zero bullets. But then you go on a knifing streak and it’s all good.

(avidCow) #51

Arty and Skyhammer players who never hand out ammo at spawn.

im not a fan of any kind of spam -

  1. so obviously i really dislike naders nade spam. Ive seen nader’s NEVER once use their guns and just do nade spam the entire game. It lacks skill and detracts from what the game should be about - skill based shooter. It also breaks some maps - ie. the ally flank on bridge after 1st obj. Naders on defense spamming that narrow alley is just death but requires no skill to do at all.

  2. I used to dislike proxy - and never played her - but since the patches have nerfed mines, added other faster mercs - its now much harder for proxy to be silly annoying so thats a plus. I complained in game recently about nader nade spam and was told: “dude u play proxy”. As if there is now even a comparison. There is a reason these days there is no longer 5 proxies per side.

  3. People who dont keep up with game mechanics and so play badly or have bad idea’s on how to play and so do badly. Please try to learn the game and what ur merc does AND what other mercs do.

  4. The fact that they release a new merc and make it OP for free rotation before nerfing it just after its comes off free rotation (and u just bought it). Arrg*

  5. guys who play badly. do badly. But are on the winning team and so think they can end game shit talk about how “Rekt’d” your team got or how great they are.

  6. im sure i will think of others ;p

*(no really its great when mercs get a justified nerf - many need tweaking! - but it does happen seemingly every time)

don’t recall that happening to a single merc - example?

Agreed. Would love to see an example.

(watsyurdeal) #55

You know what’s really annoying?

I played against a Sniper yesterday, literally before the match even began “please don’t let my team suck”. He played and did jack shit for his team, “God my team is terrible”, and only when we were already on the last point in Terminal did he finally go Sparks.

There is nothing quite like that kind of bad sportsmanship, you cannot talk crap about your team if you’re not at least in the top 3. And more so, you cannot even bad mouth the enemy team if you’re being carried by great players.

(Amerika) #56

The ability was directly lifted from one of the most divisive perks in all of Call of Duty. Still not sure why it’s in DB but it’s been tweaked enough to be mostly a non-issue outside of RNG situations you can’t control.

(Zeus33rd) #57

I would say I rage the most at how much time you are required to stare at menu screens and countdown timers, before you actually get into a game. And…the count-down timer when you join a match already in progress. After you click the deploy button, you are in the game and can be killed by the other team…but you can’t do anything about it, as you are staring at the lobby screen for 15 seconds. You can hear your team spawning around you and running away to fight, you can hear the fight…but powerless. It is possible to spawn in like that, wait…14 seconds, get killed before you even see your merc, and have to sit through a 22 second long long spawn, before you even have control of your character. That shit is fucking dumb.

(RuleofBooKz) #58

Literally with a model of - introduce new merc to game and make it free rotation to try - you are just asking to get mercs that come in strong, with imbalanced abilities, etc etc and then they slowly get nerfed over time ie. AFTER they leave free rotation and need to be bought.

Like proxy with the mines for example. Proxies mines on release were stupid. Like all mercs with shotguns that had spread. b4 they fixed that.

Id rather see the devs bring in a merc underpowered, or balanced on the side of caution, rather than what we have atm so that they can get a buff if needed.

Atm its like: Oh new mercs? Sigh. “i wonder how they will break the game/ maps/ balance etc”

(mendaciousPole) #59

Vassili in the free rotation. Just because he’s free, doesn’t mean you should play him. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE ALREADY THREE OTHER SNIPERS ON YOUR TEAM!!!

(GildedDark) #60

@Pheonix07 Happened to me on a 6vs6 obj match on terminal my whole team had the bright idea to snipe, I was the only fragger and the funny thing was WE WERE ATTACKING. Other team had one sniper rekking our 5 snipers
