Not getting double credits!?

(genuineStrawberry) #1

Why am i only still getting 250 credits when i have like 8k xp in game? i was getting the same amount before this so called double credits weekend.

(Nail) #2

Note:
The Credit boost only applies to Match Rewards

Bonus Credits from ranking up and from completing Daily Missions are unaffected.

(genuineStrawberry) #3

so for example if i get a quad kill badge it doubles?

(Nail) #4

I thought so, but haven’t played yet

(genuineStrawberry) #5

ok thanks.

This is double credits weekend and not double XP. So scores stay normal and you’re leveling stays normal but you get double the amount of credits you would have normally gotten for that match. And you’re overall score doesn’t play much into your credit gain and neither does winning or losing. It’s mostly just your time on server that counts, teams need to be even and you need to have at least 8 people IIRC to not get any credit penalties.

(RuleofBooKz) #7

ah so thats how this credit boost thing works - thx

(Ghosthree3) #8

Last I heard match credits were based entirely on time played in the match and score didn’t affect it at all. Someone correct me if they know this to be wrong.

Yep. You will get roughly 12k for 6 hours of play during double credit weekend.

So, another 12k if you buy the 6 hour booster. (At least, that’s my calculation. Still don’t think it translates well for money spent. I feel like 10 bucks should at least net you around 50k in credits)

once again DB struggle in their PR / Marketing department. Seems to be a few sharky slippery people in those departments that might be better off working in the used car industry than in the gaming industry.

“Double credit weekend”!! Sounds great right??

So why is Everyone in game confused why “double credits isnt working” for them??? Oh its just for the actual credits u get from playing a match? Not for missions? Or any other source of credits like daily 1st victory credits?

That isnt exactly “double credit weekend” -_-

Common usage people! Most people will assume due to common usuage that double credits means double credits. No little exceptions no proviso’s no catches.

Suddenly what is a great enthusiasm for “double weekend credits” is deflated into a sour feeling of being duped by, fine print.

This kind of thing has to stop. First the code giveaways - for ONE code. Now this. Please oh please who ever handles this stuff just don’t try to be clever and tricky in future. Just say it like it is.

Far better to just advertise EXACTLY what you are offering: “Double your match earned credits all weekend” than have people unhappy that something you seemed to offer ending up to not be all it cracked up to be.

(Fatcamp) #11

are u sure about that penalty? or is it new? beacuse what iknow is you always get 16credit a min nomatter what so this weekend it is 32 credits instead.

(Ardez1) #12

Credit gain is actually 12 credits per minute, or 24 with the double credit weekend. 48 per minute if you get a credit booster.

Penalties do exist for matches with few players in them. By 8 players he means the room needs to be at least 4v4.

hmm are u sure its 12? i just checked 3 games now. one i played on a 7v7 for 6min and 9 sec and i got 213 credits which is 34.97 credits a min or 17.48 a min without the double cash. later i played on a 8v8 that was full. i came in 1min after it started at 17:09 “it just changed to 9” and ended at 17:21 and i got 339 credits which is 28.250 a min or 14.125 a min without the double xp.

how come i got more points for the game that had 2 less people on it? The only difference was i won the first one later lost the second one.

later i tried one with only 2v2 on it i kinda got in right before my team was gona lose so i was only on it for 3:33 min and got 36 credits. that is 10.81 or 5.405 a min.

do u get more cash if u win a match or something? or how does that actually count?

(Daergar) #15

12 credits per minute. Awarded at the completion of a match. Adjusted downward if the server contains very few people (to prevent some sort of abuse, no idea why really).

That’s it.

During this weekend, it is 24 credits per minute. 48 credits with a booster.

The small booster is worth 8640 credits (24 credits times 360 minutes). For three euro, this comes to 2880 per euro, and for ten euro (the price of one 50k merc), you gain 28800 credits.

Relatively, the euro-value of the highest booster for eight euro climbs to 32400 credits (credits for ten euro).

Without the bonus weekend, a three euro booster would net you half that, 21600 credits, for the same price.

I won’t say I find boosters a scam, because credits will no doubt have more use in the future for more cosmetics and whatnot. If am saying if you compare them to the value for everything else at the moment though, mercs and loadout cards, one euro is the equal of 5k credits exactly.

It makes me wonder why a booster, that requires actual playtime, rewards you with 1440 credits per euro normally and 2880 during the double weekend. That is a horribly bad exchange.

(Note; the math seem so horribly bad that I fear I made a mistake somewhere, and if so, I apologize and welcome a correction.)

You do receive a ‘skill bonus’ at the end of the match as well, but a majority of the credits earned is based on the 12 credit per minute base fee.

The ‘skill bonus’ is being doubles in this event as well, which is throwing off your math.

(RuleofBooKz) #17

Mmmhmm note that this was in my post: Common usage people! Most people will assume due to common usage that double credits means double credits. No little exceptions no proviso’s no catches.

in other similar FTP games when they say “double X all weekend” its double x. All ive seen on forums is people saying “double credits”. And in games - all i see is people in global saying “the double credits isnt working for me” because they dont know the fine print . Because no one wants to hunt for the small print.

im reporting what im seeing in game and commenting on it. You dont need a marketing degree to tell you: Once you abuse hype - “hey guys its DOUBLE CREDITS!!! (not really sorry)” its very hard to get the hype back.

oh and just if u think this is “waaa i want my credits” its not. ive got like 100k credits just sitting around and nothing to spend it on sooo nah. I just want this game to do well and not be another fail brink or a bad start like ETQW was.

(Ardez1) #18

…and yet players are receiving double credits. The problem is that the bonus credits field isn’t being used to represent this. It is just lumping it in with your normal credit earn values.

Is it a problem of perception or a problem of knowledge or both?

(RuleofBooKz) #19

both? and a fail of the event not being properly announced / Titled in a clear simple way

going on common usage of terms -
Double Credits = all credits from any source are doubled
Double Match Credits might be better or something along those lines. it just has to be clear

Yes, but isn’t that so small (I read around 5% at the most somewhere, can’t find anything real on the topic) to be almost inconsequential?

Outside of the bonus weekend, surely it’s some sort of issue that a booster rewards 1440 (1620 for the 18 hour one) credits per euro compared to 5000 everywhere else in the store?

Given that everyone earns credits based on time spent playing, why not simply let us buy credits for money?

The boosters feel like an extra layer complexity meant to lull people into buying something that sounds awesome but it’s actually rubbish once you understand the system.
