Soooo I just bought 30 normal cases ok and after all I got was 2 iron and 1 bronze rest was just lead and I nearly smashed my mouse over that ;(
Normal Cases
Don’t ever buy normal cases unless you’ve got excessive amounts of credits and nothing to spend them on.
boii guess what. I got 4 cases dropped from games today and i got 2 brozes and 1 lead
not sure why people get so frustrated about this, rng is rng and the percentages dont mean you will definately get a cobalt after 1000 cases
Some are lucky, some arent… I’ve had streaks of silvers from elite cases but ive also had a streak of 4 cobalts in a row
just gotta spin the wheel and pray
30 normal cases?
And you got one bronze?
I’m pretty sure that’s actually really lucky. I don’t know why you decide to complain.
Here are the numbers:
80% for Lead
20% for Iron
3% for Bronze
0.8 * 30 = 24
0.15 * 30 = 4.5
0.03 * 30 = 0.9
And so you kind of got what was to be expected, and that’s not even taking into account the percentage chances of higher rarity cards.
Overall, the moral of the story is DON’T BUY NORMAL CRATES.
What did you expected? You have 80% chances of pulling leads. Also it’s a bad idea to buy equipment cases unless you need material for the trade-ups to cobalt (aka when you don’t have to purchase anything else).
Think of it this way…
A certain ‘clear wrapping’ product is expected to break, or be ineffective about 2-3% of the time.
Getting a Bronze card from a regular case is a chance of 3%.
Getting a Silver card from a regular case is a chance of 1.5%.
Getting a Gold card from a regular case is a chance of 0.4%.
Getting a Cobalt card from a regular case is a chance of 0.1%.
People still use this certain product it offers some protection and on average it works 97~98% of the time.
These people hope they are not the 2~3% that the product fails on.
A Bronze card being rolled is about as likely as this product failing.
A Silver card being rolled is about 1.5% less likely than this product failing.
A Gold card being rolled is about 2.6% less likely than this product failing.
A Cobalt card being rolled is about 2.9% less likely than this product failing.
The cards have been given these rarity percentages for a reason and given these odds it should be clear that expecting to get a bronze, silver, gold or cobalt is not very likely, even after opening 30 cases.
On a similar note, I have a friend who got a Cobalt Red Eye on his 3rd case ever opened.
He doesn’t even care as he doesn’t play the game, I was only showing it to him while visiting from out of town.
Also… he is currently expecting a child who he had not planned for.
RNG!!
