I have dled the et map editting tool and i have no idea how to use it and i have never tried anything like this b4. Could sum1 give me a general idea of the basics because i would love to learn more about this.

You’ll have links to all sorts of good information and tutorials to get you started.
I’d also recommend reading up on some quake3/RTCW tutorials as they’ll get you started on how to use the editor.
