I’ve been working on my map and suddenly when I compile, I get this message in my debugger screen saying “Warning: Node with Unbound Volume” Theres about 30 of them showing up yet I can’t see or click them. They don’t seem to do anything to my map but could someone please explain to me what they are or tell me how to get rid of them?
Node With Unbound Volume?
Website helped me understand what a node with unbounded volume is, however I still can’t figure out how to get rid of them. Like it said on the site, Brush Cleanup should help get rid of them, but not one was deleted. Is there an easy way to discover these brushes or do I have to Seek and Destroy for a while?
I don’t think there are too many options…
I’d suggest you to make backups before you start killing innocent brushes.
And try to filter models, lights and stuff like this to have a clear sight of your brushes.
Good luck
I had a similiar problem…
I selected a type of brush or entity and then pressed shift+a.
That selects all of the same entities/textured brushes, yadda yadda.
I look for ones that make no sense or are only seen from certain angles. If I know I have 5 brushes textured with red, and 7 show, I would unselect the 5 I want to keep and delete the rest.( they will mainly show on the 2d window- check there first)
Use this along with the Filtering like Orange said, and you should be able to find them all.
[Use this only if you need to-> press I to select all the brushes and slightly drag them to the side, find your bad brushes. Then undo the movement, isolate the problem. But be careful with this…I don’t want you coming back yelling at me…hehehe.]
good luck
Well thanks for the advice, I wish i saw that last post sooner cuz I just spent about 2 hours clickin the brushes one at a time and searching for them to see if good or bad. Atleast its over with
