Nobody joins co-op campaign PS3

I bought Brink 3 days ago and when i’m starting to play campaign mode nobody joins it, i always set up my rank or higher, difficulty any and join:everybody but i’m still playing only with bots :frowning: it is normal? and if it’s not how to fix it?

Yes, it’s normal I’m afraid - across the board. You fix it by adding people to your friends who have/play Brink and inviting them. Or joining them.

You’ll find most people play Free Play though, so you’ll need to arrange with someone to help you in your campaign.

Btw, how many players have X360, PS3 and PC?

I can’t speak for the consoles, but over the past 4 days or so the average peak player count on steam is around 900 or so. This isn’t to say there’s only 900 playing, could be more just spread out through out the day, but at the most you’ll only get 900 on at any one time. http://store.steampowered.com/stats

As for those that HAVE the game, I guestimate about 150-200,000 for PC, A lot more for 360… no idea about PS3, prolly in between.

Sounds about right. For me as a PC player, I’ve never really had any problems finding games with people in’em.

We’re at the advantage where we can see where the players are because of the server browser and dedicated servers rather than having to seek them out. Yes I can always find players, there just doesn’t happen to be many servers to choose from. Was on last night and had a choice of 5 populated servers, 2 within my region with a decent ping, 3 far away with about 200ms.

Oh, here in Sweden it’s fairly easy I think. around 20-80ms and more then 20 servers with more then 4ppl in’em (as far as I remember).

The problem on consoles, unless you have people on your friendlist playing, is that you have to just trust the software to find people for you. Although it rarely does and just slaps you in your own game…

There are too many game parameters IMO. There could be a game of 15/16 going on, but because you set FF on and they have FF off you will never know (for example).

Successful online (console) games limit option drastically, usually just choosing a mode (e.g. TDM, CTF etc). Once you start fragmenting everything with options, yet hiding the server availability, it makes it akin to divining trying to find a game.

And that is only made worse by the fact that you have to load into the map before you find out your game is empty. A simple “No games found. Create game with these settings?” message would go a hell of a long way to mitigating frustration.

We have a co-op chat but most have been done with the campaign for a while now, mostly just Free Play Big Teams now. If you want a chat invite hit up any of the PS3 users on here, most of us play together daily. I am sure if you ask around you could find a few guys to do the campaign with you, some guys still leveling up guys so they wouold be up for it.
